On 1 Apr 14 Larry J. Clevenger, age 52, 2265
Tick Ridge Road, Lower Salem, reported he was away from his
residence between 9 am and 11 am and during that timeframe an
unknown suspect(s) pried open the front door of his home. Inside
the home, Mr. Clevenger noticed clothes were strewn about a
spare bedroom and a safe was removed from the closet of the
master bedroom. Mr. Clevenger said the suspect(s) opened the
safe and removed a large amount of cash from a lockbox inside
the safe. This case remains under investigation (113, 292, 953).
On 1 Apr 14 Sgt. Reeder responded to the scene
of death of a fifty-eight year old Newport resident. The man’s
death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.
On 1 Apr 14 Lt. Rhodes and Deputy Sheriff McConnell
responded to a domestic dispute on State Route 7 in Marietta.
A thirty-three year old female was involved in an argument with
her seventeen year old daughter after recently learning that
her daughter is two months pregnant. Both parties admitted grabbing
the other and both agreed that no physical violence occurred.
Consequently, Deputy McConnell closed this case as unfounded.

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Nathan Scott Goff, age 29, 7641 Pike Street
Lot 20, Parkersburg, for theft, a felony. Goff turned himself
in to Corrections Officers and was processed into the Washington
County Jail on 1 Apr 14 at 8:53 am.
Dallas Willey Farnsworth, age 40, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Farnsworth
was arrested on Seventh Street in Marietta by Probation Officer
P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 1 Apr 14 at 8:08 pm.
Andrew Bradford Russo, age 35, 840 Pike Street
Apt. 37, Marietta, for violating the terms of a protection order,
a misdemeanor. Russo was arrested on Pike Street by Patrolman
Hupp of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 1 Apr 14 at 8:24 pm.
Paul Samuel Pasco, age 51, 306 Third Street
Apt. 3, Lowell, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor.
Pasco was arrested in Lowell by Sgt. Mankins of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 1 Apr 14 at 8:31 pm.
