On 28 Mar 14 Kellie M. Lohr, age 23, 712 Fourth Street, New Matamoras, reported she was involved in a minor altercation with her husband. While they were arguing, Mrs. Lohr’s husband placed his hand over his wife’s mouth in an effort to keep her from screaming at him. Mrs. Lohr said she was not in fear for her safety and that no threats or other physical contact took place. As a result, Deputy White closed this case as unfounded.

On 28 Mar 14 Gregory Earley, age 54, 1426 Earley Ridge Road, New Matamoras, reported the driver of an unknown silver vehicle struck the side of his auto shop at 52267 State Route 7, New Matamoras. The collision caused minor damage to the building (910).

On 28 Mar 14 Deputy Sheriff McGilton requested summonses for Crystal Larrison, age 30, 14969 McConnelsville Road, Caldwell, for three counts of abandoning animals, three counts of animal cruelty, two counts of failing to register a dog and for failing to confine/restrain a dog. The previous day, Deputy McGilton executed a search warrant at Ms. Larrison’s former residence at 2109 Benedict Road, Fleming. A neighbor reported several days earlier that Ms. Larrison had not been seen for four days and that a dog inside the home, a dog outside the home and multiple cats were not cared for during that time. During the execution of the search warrant, Deputy McGilton noticed neither the inside dog nor did the outside dog and cats had any food or water. Deputy McGilton observed that the animals appeared to be thin and malnourished. Two dogs and three cats were removed from the property.

On 28 Mar 14 James Carpenter, age 30, 157 Joe Cox Road, Gandeeville, WV, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) entered his truck parked on Merchant Lane in Newport and stole $300, a GPS unit, a socket set, vitamins and a box of medication. During the same timeframe the suspect(s) entered a truck owned by Scott Walker, age 43, 26961 County Highway CC, Holcombe, WI, and stole a GPS unit. This case remains under investigation (592).

On 28 Mar 14 Deputy Sheriff McPeek assisted the Plano, TX Police Department in the investigation of unauthorized purchases totaling $619.44 that were reportedly shipped to a Washington County residence and charged to a Plano resident’s American Express card.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Kirk Russell Slider, age 20, 70 Mountaineer Way, Williamstown, for two misdemeanor counts of failure to appear. Slider turned himself in to Lt. Gherke at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Mar 14 at 10:34 pm.

Chad Blaine Bledsoe, age 28, 1010 Florence Street Apt. 1, Belpre, for tampering with evidence, theft, breaking and entering and possession of criminal tools, all felonies. Bledsoe was arrested on Washington Boulevard by Patrolman Nichols of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Mar 14 at 11:16 pm.
