On 22 Mar 14 Sgt. Mankins requested a warrant for Rosale L. Vandall, age 31, 1308 Williamson Avenue Apt. 8E, New Matamoras, for obstructing justice. Attempting to serve a warrant at Ms. Vandall’s home, Deputies asked if the suspect was in her home. Ms. Vandall denied that the suspect was in her residence but Deputies later found him hiding in a cedar chest.

On 22 Mar 14 Deputy Sheriff McKee issued a citation to Jessica R. English, age 34, 311 Virginia Street, Marietta, for operating a vehicle with fictitious plates. Deputy McKee stopped Ms. English on State Route 339 near State Route 7 in Belpre Township.

On 22 Mar 14 Deputy Sheriff McKee and the Dunham and Little Hocking fire departments were dispatched to a brush fire on the property of Elaine Doebreiner, age 33, at 1120 Dugan Road, Belpre. A pile of burning leaves spread to the surrounding area and scorched less than acre.

On 22 Mar 14 John S. Buskirk, age 34, 34 Hickory Drive, Little Hocking, reported he believes his girlfriend stole more than one of his checks. Ms. Buskirk’s girlfriend denied taking the checks and he declined to pursue the matter further (132).

On 22 Mar 14 a passerby reported an intoxicated female fell onto the roadway in the vicinity of 19560 State Route 821, Macksburg. Sgt. Reeder located the female, Casey J. Heiby, age 19, 104 Wood Street, Marietta, and a male, identified as Ryan C. Beardsley, age 20, 412 Harmar Street, Marietta, in the area given by the caller. Both subjects appeared intoxicated and had mud on their clothes. Ms. Heiby said she and Mr. Beardsley were visiting her sister’s home nearby and went out for a walk. While they were walking, Ms. Heiby stepped in a hole and fell to the ground. Ms. Heiby and Mr. Beardsley admitted consuming alcohol that evening and claimed Ms. Heiby’s sister furnished it to them. However, Ms. Heiby’s sister denied providing any alcohol. Based on his investigation, Sgt. Reeder arrested Mr. Beardsley and Ms. Heiby for underage consumption of alcohol and transported them to the Washington County Jail. At the jail, Ms. Heiby tested .053 BAC and Mr. Beardsley tested .066 BAC.

On 22 Mar 14 Sgt. Reeder responded to the scene of death of an eighty-nine year old Marietta resident. The man’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Casey Jordan Heiby, age 19, 104 Wood Street, Marietta, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Heiby was arrested in Macksburg by Sgt. Reeder of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Mar 14 at 2:34 am.

Ryan Cayce Beardsley, age 20, 412 Harmar Street, Marietta, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Beardsley was arrested in Macksburg by Sgt. Reeder of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Mar 14 at 2:57 am.

Heather Marie Statler, age 36, 1418 20th Street, Parkersburg, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Statler turned herself in to Corrections Officers and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Mar 14 at 7:50 pm.
