On 18 Mar 14 an employee of Washington Electric Cooperative reported the company disconnected electric service at a residence on Silver Globe Road in February and since that time the home’s residents tampered with the electric meter in order to restore power to the home. This case remains under investigation (507).

On 18 Mar 14 Allen Davis, age 53, 865 Leith Run Road, New Matamoras, reported a motor from a pump jack belonging to his uncle was stolen from where he tends an oil well for his uncle on Leith Run Road. This case remains under investigation (507).

On 18 Mar 14 Deputies arrested Angela Farr, age 32, and her husband, Russell, age 50, both of 20 Killwell Run Road, Marietta, on charges related to the beating of Mr. Farr’s younger, developmentally disabled sister. After being found wandering on Killwell Run Road, the victim asked Deputies for food and stated she ran away from home because she was being beaten. Through further investigation, Deputies learned Mr. and Mrs. Farr withheld food from the women and struck her with a plastic bat as punishment for not feeding the household’s five dogs. On other occasions both Mr. and Mrs. Farr would order Mr. Farr’s developmentally disabled younger brother to inflict beatings on his sister. For their safety, Mr. Farr’s siblings were removed from the residence and placed in a safe location. As a result of their investigation, Deputies arrested Mr. Farr for complicity in domestic violence and Mrs. Farr for domestic violence and complicity in domestic violence.

On 18 Mar 14 Detective Johnson was traveling past the residence of Tina Sims, age 49, at 11870 Veto Road, Marietta, when he observed a pile of burning trash near the steps to Ms. Sims’ home. Detective Johnson informed Ms. Sims of open burning laws and advised her to not burn near her home. However, two days later the Warren Fire Department responded to Ms. Sims’ address to extinguish an unattended fire. Ms. Sims faces charges related to open burning (597).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Robert Eugene Boston Jr., age 48, 1145 BF Goodrich Road, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Boston was arrested at the office of Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar 14 at 10:19 am.

Danielle Marie Zaayer, age 36, 300 Starlite Drive Lot 36, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a felony. Zaayer was arrested at the Adult Probation Office by Sgt. Deem of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar 14 at 12:34 pm.

Angela June Farr, age 32, 20 Killwell Run Road, Marietta, for domestic violence and for complicity in domestic violence, both misdemeanors. Farr was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar 14 at 3:02 pm.

Russell Thomas Farr, age 50, 20 Killwell Run Road, Marietta, for complicity in domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Farr was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar 14 at 4:05 pm.

Geddy Lee Stewart, age 27, 1659 Middle Hills Road, Waverly, WV, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Stewart was arrested at the office of Probation Officer E. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar 14 at 4:41 pm.

Seth Everett Lawrence, age 18, 220 Sheldon Avenue, Marietta, for aggravated menacing, a misdemeanor. Lawrence was arrested on Wooster Street by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar 14 at 10:50 pm.
