On 15 Mar 14 Twila Martin, age 39, 101 Del Ray Court, Marietta, reported she was assaulted by her husband, Jeffrey, age 45. Following an argument over marital issues, Mr. Martin shoved his wife to the floor multiple times and punched her in the chest. Confirming Mrs. Martin’s account with a witness, Deputy Sheriff Reeder arrested Mr. Martin for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 15 Mar 14 Bradford Boyer, age 33, 1567 Reese Road, Fleming, suffered an injury to his left forearm during an accident at Globe Metallurgical, 1595 Sparling Road, Waterford. Mr. Boyer was removing a flywheel from a piece of equipment when the flywheel broke loose and pinned his arm between an impact tool and a forklift. Mr. Boyer’s arm was only bruised, not broken (912).

On 15 Mar 12 Lt. Stackpole, Sgt. Holbert and the Little Hocking Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire near the intersection of US 50 and Tower Road. Alexandria Grant, age 21, 17058 Nickel Plate Road, Logan, was traveling westbound on US 50 in her Chevy S-10 when she noticed smoke emanating from under the hood. Ms. Grant and her passenger escaped from the vehicle unharmed. The fire caused significant damage to the front end of the vehicle.

On 15 Mar 14 Brenda A. Smith, age 38, 803 Tick Ridge Road, Vincent, reported an unknown suspect(s) used her debit card information to make $1,931 of unauthorized purchases at a Target in Brooklyn, NY. This case remains under investigation (1104).

On 15 Mar 14 a five year old Lowell resident was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital and later transferred to Children’s Hospital in Columbus for treatment to a dog bite. The juvenile was visiting her grandparent’s resident in Marietta when she apparently fell on the dog. The juvenile suffered a laceration to her left eyelid, eyebrow and forehead (805).

On 15 Mar 14 Deputy Sheriff Hunter requested a summons for William F. Jones, age 74, 500 County House Lane, Marietta, for disorderly conduct. That afternoon Mr. Jones angrily confronted his neighbor over use of a shared driveway. The neighbor commented that Mr. Jones regularly gets upset when vehicles travel on the left side of the road and get too close to his property.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jeffrey Robert Martin, age 45, 101 Del Ray Court, Marietta, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Martin was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Mar 14 at 3:31 am.

Anthony Roger Fulton, age 23, 214 Wooster Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Fulton was arrested on Second Street by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Mar 14 at 3:53 pm.

Darren Craig Farnese, age 19, 1001 Colonial Square Apt. B4, Marietta, for theft and for violating the terms of his probation, both misdemeanors. Farnese was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer E. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Mar 14 at 7:15 pm.

Cory Glen Friend, age 22, 1061 39th Street, Parkersburg, for contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor. Friend was picked up in Athens County by Lt. Stackpole of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Mar 14 at 9:10 pm.
