On 6 Mar 14 Lt. Stackpole, Sgt. Holbert and Sgt. McLeish responded to an assault involving a knife at 1185 Joe Skinner Road, Belpre. Accasia D. Swisher, age 21, 802 ½ W. Fourth Street, Williamstown, was in an enraged state when she arrived at the location, her father’s residence. Ms. Swisher was upset that her father’s new girlfriend, Tammy M. Metcalf, age 46, 300 S. Pine Street, Carmichaels, PA, was at the residence because she felt her father deceived her about reconciling with her mother. Two skirmishes between the women took place at the residence and during one of them Ms. Swisher brandished a knife she retrieved from the kitchen. A witness confirmed Ms. Swisher’s statement that she did not attempt to stab Ms. Metcalf. In addition to being arrested on an Athens County warrant for assaulting a police officer, Ms. Swisher was charged with aggravated assault. Sgt. Holbert also arrested Ms. Swisher’s mother, Lisa Fisher, age 46, for theft. During the altercations Ms. Metcalf dropped her mobile phone and the elder Swisher picked it up. She then disabled it by removing the battery and SIM cards.
