On 28 Feb 14 Deputy Sheriff McPeek requested a summons for a seventeen year old Whipple resident to appear in Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency by assault. The Washington County Career Center student was having difficulty on an in class assignment and became angry with his teacher. After calling his teacher derogatory names, the student attempted to leave the classroom, at which point the teacher blocked the doorway. When she did so, the teenager head butted her in the nose and kicked her in the knee.

On 28 Feb 14 the owner of West Rental and Construction Services, 20 Mill Branch Road, Belpre, reported an employee used a company debit card without permission to withdraw over $1,300 from ATMs on nine occasions between 14 Feb and 26 Feb. This case remains under investigation (912).

On 28 Feb 14 Deputy Sheriff McPeek requested a summons for a sixteen year old Vincent resident to appear in Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency by felonious assault. The juvenile grew enraged after two school officials found a crossbow in the trunk of his vehicle during a search for contraband. Fearing the crossbow would be confiscated, the teenager shoved the assistant principal, then entered his vehicle and started the engine. In an attempt to keep the teenager at the scene, the assistant principal and principal stepped in front of the vehicle. The teenager accelerated and struck the principal in the leg as the two men hurried out of the way. The principal was not injured.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Kelly Ann Gray, age 26, 315 Scammel Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Gray was arrested on Glendale Road by Patrolman Estes of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Feb 14 at 2:45 am.

Robert Daniel Pennell III, 31, 1102 Swan Street, Parkersburg, for felony and misdemeanor charges of theft. Pennell was arrested picked up at the North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Gerber and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Feb 14 at 12:12 pm.

Robert Franklin Oakley, age 34, 4114 14th Avenue, Parkersburg, for sale of unapproved drugs, a felony. Oakley was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Feb 14 at 1:15 pm.

Misty Lou Crace, age 40, 236 Francis Road, Lowell, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Crace was arrested at the office of Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Feb 14 at 4:13 pm.
