On 6 Feb 14 Timothy J. Bookman age 32, 90 Stanley Street, Little Hocking, reported he was incarcerated between October and December 2013 and during that timeframe he believes his estranged wife redirected his SSI checks to her residence. This case remains under investigation (1010).

On 6 Feb 14 Stephanie Taylor, age 31, 319 Armstrong Ridge Road, New Matamoras, reported an unknown suspect attempted to use her debit card information to make an online purchase at Footlocker. This case remains under investigation (1090).

On 6 Feb 14 a seventeen year old Marietta resident reported she was involved in a disagreement with her mother. The victim said she was angry that her mother asked her boyfriend to move out of the home and a verbal altercation ensued. During the argument, the victim said her younger brother stepped between she and her mother and choked her. The victim later admitted embellishing her account of the incident and commented that she phoned the Sheriff’s Office for assistance in removing her belongings from the home. Witnesses concurred that no act of violence took place. As a result, Deputy Sheriff Huffer closed this case as unfounded.

On 6 Feb 14 Deputy Sheriff Hunter arrested Kayla E. Talbert, age 30, 90 Coal Run Hill Road, Lowell, for domestic violence. Intoxicated and acting belligerent the previous afternoon, Ms. Talbert struck an eleven year old family member once in the head with her mobile phone and once with her closed fist. The victim said Ms. Talbert habitually consumes large quantities of alcohol and gets mean when she does. Ms. Talbert initially claimed the child fell down stairs but later recanted and admitted striking the child because she thought he was being mouthy. When she was processed into the Washington County Jail, Ms. Talbert tested .259 BAC.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Cyril Clifford Pletcher, age 34, 920 Schott Road, Waterford, for being a fugitive from justice, a felony. Pletcher was arrested at the Courthouse and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 14 at 2:37 pm.

Billy Joe Davis, age 28, 609 Florence Street, Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Davis was arrested on State Route 7 by Patrolman Nichols of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 14 at 3:06 pm.

Amy Leigh Davis, age 28, 609 Florence Street, Belpre, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Davis was arrested at the office of Probation Officer E. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 14 at 5:45 pm.

Kayla Elizabeth Talbert, age 30, 90 Coal Run Hill Road, Lowell, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Talbert was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Hunter and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 14 at 10:34 pm.
