On 3 Feb 14 Michael K. Jeffers, age 31, 1320 Caywood Road, Marietta, phoned the Sheriff’s Office in the early morning hours and stated he was intoxicated and may need to go to jail. Mr. Jeffers was having a party at his home and believed the guests at his residence wanted him to leave. Partygoers were unable to convince Mr. Jeffers otherwise and he refused to calm down. Mr. Jeffers also refused to go to bed and would not stay inside his house. Too intoxicated to drive or leave on foot for a friend’s residence, Mr. Jeffers was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported to the Washington County Jail. At the jail, Mr. Jeffers tested .186 BAC (912).

On 3 Feb 14 Derek B. Wilson, age 21, 6305 Pleasant Ridge Road, Marietta, reported he parked his truck near milepost two on Moss Run Road in the early morning hours when he was unable to negotiate the hill due to road conditions and when he returned to the vehicle several hours he noticed it was damage. Mr. Wilson said all four tires on the truck were punctured, a window was broken, there was damage to the console and a battery charger was stolen as well. This case remains under investigation (113).

On 3 Feb 14 Janet S. Schwaben, age 60, 203 Duncan Avenue, New Matamoras, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) stole the front and back license plates (Ohio #FSU9032) from her vehicle. This case remains under investigation (113).

On 3 Feb 14 Katylen Vancouver, age 19, 7934 Floyd Drive, The Plains, was riding on an old car hood while being towed by an ATV when she accidentally crashed into a hay wagon. Ms. Vancouver was unconscious when the Wesley Fire Department transported her to Marietta Memorial Hospital but thereafter was able to relay to Deputy Call that there was no foul play involved and the incident was accidental.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Michael Keith Jeffers, age 31, 1320 Caywood Road, Marietta, disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Jeffers was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff McPeek and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Feb 14 at 1:51 am.

Willie Bernard Moore, age 50, 815 Fifth Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a felony. Moore was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Feb 14 at 9:54 pm.
