On 2 Feb 14 an eleven year old Williamstown resident was admitted to Marietta Memorial Hospital and later transferred by ambulance to Children’s Hospital in Columbus for treatment to injuries he suffered when he was shot in the eye with a BB gun. The juvenile was participating in an Airsoft gun battle and hiding in a brush pile in a field on State Route 550 in Wesley Township when an acquaintance of the juvenile shot a BB gun in his direction. The BB became lodged in the orbital socket of the juvenile’s left eye and caused fractures to his orbital socket and sinus cavity.
