On 24 Jan 14 Deputy Sheriff McConnell requested a summons for Joyce E. Koon, age 39, 72 High Street, Vincent, for theft. A clerk at White Oak Pharmacy, 8465 State Route 339, Barlow, reported he viewed Ms. Koon stealing pain reliever and a Bulletin Board on security footage. Deputy McConnell also requested a summons for Ms. Koon’s sixteen year old son to appear in Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency by theft. While his mother stole items from the store, the teenager can be seen on security footage stealing a mobile phone charger.

On 24 Jan 14 Anna Paugh, age 73, 27400 State Route 7 Lot 58, Marietta, reported she received a phone call a week earlier from a woman claiming to be a representative of Asset Recovery Associates and stated she owed a debt of $14,000. Ms. Paugh said the caller knew how much money she had in her account and commented that Ms. Paugh could save $9,000 by writing a check. The caller subsequently used Ms. Paugh’s banking information to withdraw over $4,000 from her account. Ms. Paugh could not recall having any outstanding debts and did not give permission to transfer funds from her account. This case remains under investigation (113).

On 24 Jan 14 a fifteen year old Marietta resident reported an acquaintance posted multiple threatening messages on her Facebook page. Deputy Sheriff Metts determined there is an ongoing dispute between the two females and advised them to cease contacting the other party.
