On 8 Jan 14 Jacob D. Wells, age 22, 389 Lauer Road, Whipple, reported his cousin and housemate, Shaun Gates, age 32, threatened him multiple times that day. Earlier in the day Deputies were at the residence attempting to serve a warrant on Mr. Gates for theft of medication. Mr. Gates fled from the home on two occasions and blamed Mr. Wells for phoning law enforcement and informing them of his whereabouts. Two witnesses confirmed that Mr. Gates threatened Mr. Wells. Mr. Gates was later arrested on the felony warrant and also charged with domestic violence.

On 8 Jan 14 a fifteen year old Belpre resident reported he was assaulted at a friend’s residence that evening. His friend’s brother asked the teenager to leave the property and subsequently shoved him off the home’s porch. The teenager declined to pursue the matter further (1104).

When Ms. Williams started up the steps, Mr. Lohr charged at her, raised his fist and threatened to strike her. Mrs. Lohr stated she had been arguing with her husband for several hours and during that time her husband grabbed her by the hair and threw her onto their bed, nearly causing her to fall on their three month old child. Mrs. Lohr also said her husband opened the blade of a pocketknife and threatened to stick her with it. Based on his investigation, Deputy Sheriff Huffer arrested Mr. Lohr for two counts of domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
