Archive of 12-29-13

On 29 Dec 13 Deputy Sheriff Augenstein requested a warrant for Shannon S. Hines, age 25, 1220 Brackenridge Road, Vincent, for a felony charge of theft. Earlier that day Mr. Hines stole an Xbox and approximately sixty games from an acquaintance’s home on Cherry Hill Lane in Belpre. Mr. Hines spent the two previous nights at the home and waited until the residents left for several hours to steal over $1,000 of property.

On 29 Dec 13 a fifty-two year old Marietta resident reported for the past week her son has been making harassing phone calls to her and adult daughter. This case remains under investigation (113).

On 29 Dec 13 a forty year old Cutler resident reported her teenaged son and nephew were riding ATVs on a right of way near her home when the driver of a pickup truck approached them in an aggressive manner and nearly struck her nephew. As the driver passed the two, he spun he trucks tires and tossed gravel in their direction. Neither juvenile was injured. This case remains under investigation (507).

On 29 Dec 13 Deputy Sheriff Augenstein responded to the scene of death of a sixty-nine year old Belpre resident. The woman’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

On 29 Dec 13 Deputy Sheriff Augenstein responded to the scene of death of a seventy-six year old Belpre resident. The man’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Mitchell Lee Erb, age 27, 355 Dana Run Road, Newport, for being a fugitive from justice, a felony. Erb was arrested in New Matamoras by Patrolman Blamble of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Dec 13 at 12:40 am.

Bryan Lee Eddy, age 22, 3053 Archers Fork Road, New Matamoras, for disorderly conduct by intoxication and criminal trespassing, both misdemeanors. Eddy was arrested on Front Street by Patrolman Estes of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Dec 13 at 2:32 am.
