On 24 Dec 13 Deputy Sheriffs Augenstein and Metts responded to a domestic dispute at the residence of Jacob Marshall, age 20, at 3187 Anderson Road, Fleming. An argument erupted with Mr. Marshall and his mother’s boyfriend over the cooking of pork chops but no physical confrontation transpired. The parties agreed to separate to avoid further problems.

On 24 Dec 13 the Beverly Fire Department transported an eleven month old Lowell resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment to second degree burns on her right arm and torso. The child was with her mother visiting a residence in Beverly when a six year old in the home bumped into a table and accidentally spilled hot chocolate on the girl. The toddler was later transported by helicopter to the Ohio State Medical Center for additional treatment. No foul play is suspected (113).

On 24 Dec 13 Kirsten L. Hall, age 32, 240 Reed Road, Marietta, reported she was involved in an altercation with her estranged husband, Andrew B. Hall, age 26, 300 Starlite Drive, Lot 3, Marietta, while the two visited a relative’s home in Lowell that evening. An argument after their family dinner escalated to the point where Mr. Hall grabbed his wife by the arms and threw her against the side of a vehicle. The action caused Ms. Hall to strike her mouth and elbows on the vehicle. Ms. Hall said she’s been the victim of Mr. Hall’s short temper in the past and that she feared for her safety during the incident. Consequently, Deputy Sheriff Carr arrested Mr. Hall for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
