On 13 Dec 13 Deputy Sheriff Underwood requested a summons for Mary M. Busch, age 49, 1179 Brush Road, Marietta, for theft. A clerk at Par Mar, 17785 State Route 7, Marietta, noticed Ms. Busch acting suspiciously when she was in the store the previous evening. Upon reviewing security footage, the clerk observed Ms. Busch placing two twenty-four ounce cans of Bud Light in her purse. When Sgt. Anderson and Deputy Underwood attempted to interview Ms. Busch about the theft, they saw she was wearing the same clothing as the suspect in the security footage. Ms. Busch refused to answer her door despite repeated requests by the Deputies.

On 13 Dec 13 Glenn M. Potts, age 37, 2275 Peggs Fork Road, Newport, reported he believes two unknown individuals who visited his property briefly last month stole a scrap radiator. This case remains under investigation (113).

On 13 Dec 13 Deputy Sheriff Metts arrested Quentin A. Hubbard, age 20, 3057 Newbury Road, Little Hocking, for child endangering. A motorist passing by Mr. Hubbard’s residence observed the three year old daughter of Mr. Hubbard’s girlfriend walking along the roadway unsupervised. Mr. Hubbard was asleep on the couch after coming home from an overnight work shift that ended at 4:30 am. Mr. Hubbard was unaware that the child exited the home along with the family’s dogs.

On 13 Dec 13 Paul D. Crock, age 58, 23285 State Route 339, Beverly, was life-flighted to Ohio State Medical Center for treatment to injuries suffered when he fell down a flight of stairs. Mr. Crock had a head injury and temporarily stopped breathing. As of 14 Dec, Mr. Crock was listed in the surgical intensive care unit (790).

On 13 Dec 13 Sgt. Mankins responded to the scene of death of a ninety-two year old Vincent resident. The woman’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

On 13 Dec 13 Martha Oliver, age 39, 3915 Pleasant Ridge Road, Marietta, reported her adult son did not return for several hours after his shift at work ended and she feared he may suffer from missing a dose of his asthma medication. Sgt. Mankins later made contact with Ms. Oliver’s son and confirmed his physical health was fine.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Nicholas Anthony Proscia, age 37, 1440 Roddy Road, Vincent, for allowing animals to remain at large, a misdemeanor. Proscia was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Metts and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Dec 13 at 9:39 am.

Michael David Schilling, age 45, 4525 Sparling Road, Waterford, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Schilling was arrested in Marietta by Probation Officer E. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Dec 13 at 11:30 am.

Quentin Anthony Hubbard, age 20, 3057 Newbury Road, Little Hocking, for child endangering, a misdemeanor. Hubbard was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Metts and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Dec 13 at 12:05 pm.

Tyler Patrick Ebra, age 22, 20 Hickory Street, Lower Salem, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Ebra was arrested at the Norwood Tavern by Patrolman Estes of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Dec 13 at 11:28 pm.
