On 8 Dec 13 Christina O. Carpenter, age 70, 395 Whipple Eight Road, Lowell, was traveling northbound on Highland Ridge Road when she lost control of her vehicle on a curved portion of the slick roadway approximately 2.5 miles from State Route 821. Ms. Carpenter’s Buick Lesabre slid off the left side of the roadway and struck an electrical pole, causing disabling damage to the vehicle. Ms. Carpenter suffered only minor injuries and did not require medical treatment (509).

On 8 Dec 13 Lt. Gherke was dispatched to a single vehicle crash near 412 Arends Ridge Road, Marietta. Traveling westbound in snowy conditions, Jennifer L. Tizzano, age 44, 91 Riverview Drive, Beverly, was rounding a curve when her Toyota pickup truck slid off the right side of the roadway and into a ditch. The crash caused non-functional damage to the front passenger side fender of Ms. Tizzano’s vehicle. Ms. Tizzano was not injured.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Matthew Wayne Daugherty, age 27, 411 Florence Street, Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Daugherty was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Greathouse of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Dec 13 at 3:29 am.

Joe Michael Caldwell, age 32, 9510 State Route 550, Vincent, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Caldwell was arrested in Warren Township by Deputy Sheriff McPeek and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Dec 13 at 10:01 am.
