On 5 Dec 13 Deputy Sheriff McConnell and the Barlow Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire at Barlow-Vincent Elementary School. The owner of the Dodge sedan, Vikki Stalnaker, age 39, 1238 Sand Ridge Road, Waterford, put oil in the vehicle that morning and stated that she spilled oil on the engine and also forgot to replace the oil cap. The fire was limited to the vehicle’s engine compartment and caused minor damage.

On 5 Dec 13 Jason Ford, age 24, 1000 Huck Road, Lowell, was driving on Muskingum River Road when he noticed a strong odor of oil. When Mr. Rhodes stopped his Chevy Tracker near Rhodes Road in Muskingum Township he observed flames emanating from under the front of the vehicle. The Oak Grove Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire, which fully engulfed the vehicle. The vehicle is a total loss (1007).

On 5 Dec 13 Deputy Sheriff McKee and the Little Hocking Fire Department were dispatched to a vehicle fire at 106 Meadowcrest Lane, Little Hocking. The owner of the Pontiac sedan, James E. Venham, age 35, 164 Lake Road, Belpre, stated he recently paid to have the engine replaced in the vehicle and had driven it less than 100 miles. The fire was limited to the engine compartment; however, the vehicle was a total loss.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Ricky Dee Hines, age 52, 271 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Hines was arrested at the office of Probation Officer E. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Dec 13 at 5:11 pm.

Jonathan Ross McAllister, age 26, 407 Lord Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, obstructing official business, littering, public indecency, breach of recognizance, two counts of assault and two counts of theft, all misdemeanors. McAllister turned himself in to Corrections Officers and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Dec 13 at 8:29 pm.
