On 4 Dec 13 Deputy Sheriff McConnell arrested Daniel S. Metz, age 42, 101 Allen Street, Little Hocking, for violating the terms of a protection order. Earlier in the day Mr. Metz drove to the Belpre home of the mother of his child, stopped briefly and honked the car horn. The victim in this case has a protection order against Mr. Metz that prohibits him from having any contact with her.

On 4 Dec 13 Connie D. Lawrence, age 52, 5079 Oak Hill Road, Stockport, reported she believes one of the individuals who visited her daughter that afternoon stole $17 from her purse and $10 and two gold rings from her bedroom. This case remains under investigation (507).

On 4 Dec 13 Danielle M. Zaayer, age 36, 300 Starlite Drive Lot 36, Marietta, reported she believed she was the victim of a scam. Ms. Zaayer stated she began receiving phone calls six months ago from a company called JJFA, LLC. Claiming she owed them payment for a loan. The suspect on the phone claimed Ms. Zaayer would be arrested if she did not make a payment on the loan. After sending the company $300 through Moneygram, Ms. Zaayer realized she was likely scammed. This case remains under investigation (910).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Daniel Scott Metz, age 42, 101 Allen Street, Little Hocking, for violating the terms of his probation and for violating the terms of a protection order, both misdemeanors. Metz was arrested on Barrett-South Road by Deputy Sheriff McConnell and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Dec 13 at 9:15 am.
