On 22 Nov 13 Deputy Sheriff Hunter and the Little Muskingum and Newport fire departments responded to a fire at the residence of William Reed, age 51, 1090 Neff Ridge Road, Reno. A resident in the home was cooking chicken patties on the top of the stove and left them unattended while he ran to the home next door. When he returned to the residence the stove are was on fire. With the assistance of a passerby the family member extinguished the fire. In addition to fire damage, the home sustained smoke damage. No foul play is suspected.

On 22 Nov 13 Robert Cifranc, age 57, 5031 French Creek Road, Sheffield Lake, OH, reported at some point during the past two weeks an unknown suspect(s) entered his hunting cabin at 3565 Old Camp Road, New Matamoras, and stole a total of five cases of beer from two refrigerators. This case remains under investigation (126).

On 22 Nov 13 David Kehl, age 49, 1595 Campbell Run Road, Lower Salem, reported he recently discovered six of his checks were used without his permission. Deputy Sheriff Reeder Later determined Mr. Kehl’s son, who is a cosigner on the account, wrote the checks. Mr. Kehl declined to pursue the matter further.

On 22 Nov 13 Jon R. Kletrovetz, age 44, 12474 N. Old 3C Road, Sunbury, OH, reported he discovered his hunting cabin at 7245 State Route 792, Stockport, was forcibly entered sometime since he last visited it. Stolen from the cabin were a laptop computer, a trail camera, seven knives and a digital TV tuner. The total value of the stolen property is in excess of $1,000. This case remains under investigation (1104).

On 22 Nov 13 Corrections Officer Schwendeman charged Isaac L. Lincoln Sr., age 41, 233 ½ Main Street, Lowell, with illegal conveyance of items into a detention facility. While being booked into the jail on an OVI charge, Mr. Lincoln failed to disclose he was in possession of approximately 3.9 grams of marijuana. Mr. Lincoln was previously informed that any contraband found in his clothing or on his person would result in charges.

On 22 Nov 13 Sgt. Mankins issued a citation to John R. Llewellyn Jr., age 69, 315 Fourth Street, Beverly, for failing to stop at a stop sign. Sgt. Mankins stopped Mr. Llewellyn after he failed to stop at the stop sign when turning from Arends Ridge Road onto State Route 60 in Muskingum in Muskingum Township.

On 22 Nov 13 Sgt. Mankins issued a citation to Alan D. Walters, age 24, 307 Third Street, Lowell, for traveling 49 mph in a 35 mph zone. Sgt. Mankins stopped Mr. Walters on State Route 60 near Lowell Hill Road in Adams Township.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

William Roland Talkington, age 26, 413 Florence Street, Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Talkington was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Kirby of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Nov 13 at 12:27 am.

Kara Marie Starcher, age 28, 705 Barclay Street Loy 28, Belpre, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Starcher was arrested on State Route 7 in Belpre by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Nov 13 at 4:38 am.

James Gregory Harris Jr., age 35, 475 Henderson Avenue, Newark, OH, for failure to register a change of address as a registered sex offender and for failing to verify his address as a registered sex offender, both felonies. Harris was picked up at the Licking Count Jail by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Nov 13 at 2:43 pm.

Joshua Eric Allen, age 20, 3153 25th Street, Parkersburg, for breach of recognizance and assault, both misdemeanors. Allen was arrested at the Office of Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Nov 13 at 3:21 pm.

Curtis Michael Reynolds, age 22, 47 School House Road, Saint Marys, for theft, a misdemeanor. Reynolds was arrested at Wal-Mart by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Nov 13 at 3:35 pm.

Matthew Raymond Weaver, age 38, 2709 Gihon Road, Parkersburg, for driving under a suspended license, criminal trespassing and theft, all misdemeanors. Weaver was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Nov 13 at 4:26 pm.

Allison Rebekah Park, age 40, 3000 29th Street, Parkersburg, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Park was arrested at the office of Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Nov 13 at 5:34 pm.

Joshua Eugene Taylor, age 32, 102 Old Hippie Lane, Creston, WV, for making terroristic threats, a felonies. Taylor was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Nov 13 at 5:37 pm.

Kenneth Lee Thompson, age 41,700 Barclay Street, Belpre, for rape, attempted rape and sexual battery, all felonies. Thompson was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff McPeek and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Nov 13 at 5:54 pm.

Carlton Douglas Buhrow, age 53, 231 E. Faye Avenue, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Buhrow was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Harlow of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Nov 13 at 11:19 pm.

Isaac Leon Lincoln Sr., age 41, 233 ½ Main Street, Lowell, for a felony charge of illegal conveyance of items into a detention facility and misdemeanor charges of OVI and failure to control. Lincoln was arrested on State Route 60 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Nov 13 at 11:36 pm.
