Archive of 11-21-13

On 21 Nov 13 Teri Littleton, age 29, 363 Clark Road, Cutler, reported she was away from her residence between 9 am and noon and during that timeframe an unknown suspect(s) entered her home. Taking inventory of her belongings, Ms. Littleton determined a laptop computer, a video camera, Indian decorations, two shotguns, two rifles and a muzzleloader were stolen. Ms. Littleton estimates the stolen property has a total value of $3,000. This case remains under investigation (507).

On 21 Nov 13 Eugene M. Duff, age 78, 4470 Dalzell Road, Whipple, reported at some point during the past day an unknown suspect(s) stole seven grader blades from his cattle barn at 870 Fifteenmile Creek Road, Wingett Run. This case remains under investigation (790).

On 21 Nov 13 Elizabeth Langsdorf, age 52, 1695 State Route 260, New Matamoras, reported on several occasions this month she loaned jewelry to a friend and her friend has since ignored her repeated requests to return the items. In total, Ms. Langsdorf loaned her friend twenty-three items with a value of approximately $1,600. This case remains under investigation (594).

On 21 Nov 13 Sgt. McLeish, Sgt. Reeder and Deputy Sheriff White responded to a domestic dispute at 51140 State Route 7, New Matamoras. Crystal Rockhold, age 29, was involved in a verbal dispute with her husband and later received a text message from him stating he was going to harm himself. Deputy White determined no physical violence occurred and that Mrs. Rockhold’s husband only made the threat to get his wife’s attention and that he had no intentions of harming himself. Mrs. Rockhold’s husband agreed to spend the night elsewhere to avoid further problems. Therefore, Deputy White closed this case as unfounded.

On 21 Nov 13 a forty-three year old Marietta resident reported for the past month he has been receiving profane, harassing and unwanted phone calls from the same unknown, male caller using a blocked number. This case remains under investigation (107).

On 21 Sep 13 Bryer J. Sarver, age 21, 509 Sixth Street, Lowell, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect spray painted “I love you BJ” on the back of her home. This case remains under investigation (296).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Deandre Leon Jones, age 26, 1006 14th Street, Parkersburg, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Jones was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Nov 13 at 12:54 pm.

Colt Edward Taylor, age 29, 1326 Avery Street, Parkersburg, for two counts of felonious assault. Taylor was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Nov 13 at 12:54 pm.

Pedro Guevara, age 23, 122 Tennis Center Drive Apt. 42, Marietta, for operating a vehicle without a license, for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead and for failure to comply with the order/signal of an officer, all misdemeanors. Guevara was arrested on State Route 7 in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Nov 13 at 1:18 pm.

Nicole Jane Wenzel, age 27, 105 Gilman Avenue Lot 13, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Wenzel was arrested at the office of Probation Officer E. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Nov 13 at 3:26 pm.
