Archive of 11-07-13

On 7 Nov 13 Deputy Sheriff McKee responded to a domestic altercation at 1902 Sandhill Road, Marietta. Julie E. Carpenter, age 36, was involved in an argument with her soon to be ex-husband that evening and other family members fled to a neighbor’s residence to phone for help. Ms. Carpenter’s husband departed the home as the dispute began to escalate and no physical violence occurred. As a result, Deputy McKee closed this case as unfounded.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Raymond Floyd Goodwin, age 40, 106 Grandview Avenue, New Matamoras, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Goodwin was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Nov 13 at 4:55 am.

Cory Aaron Cain, age 29, 29 First Street, Athens, for operating a vehicle without a license, a misdemeanor. Cain was picked up at the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Gerber and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Nov 13 at 1:24 pm.

Shannon Lynne Jackson, age 35, 63 Maple Circle, Waterford, for contempt of a court order and for parking in a handicap zone, both misdemeanors. Jackson was arrested by Patrolman Sams at the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Nov 13 at 4:07 pm.

Brittany Maria Martin, age 28, 100 Linwood Avenue, Marietta, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Martin was picked up in Lisbon, OH by Deputy Sheriff Doak and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Nov 13 at 7:28 pm.

Taylor Marie King, age 23, 224 S. High Street, Marion, OH, for failure to appear, a felony. King was picked up in Hancock County by Deputy Sheriff Doak and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Nov 13 at 8:31 pm.

Richard Glenn Newman II, age 47, Marietta, for breach of recognizance and for failure to appear, both felonies. Newman turned himself in to Corrections Officers and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Nov 13 at 11:04 pm.
