On 20 Oct 13 the Beverly-Waterford Fire Department
transported a fifty-one year old Waterford resident to Marietta
Memorial Hospital for treatment following a suicide attempt.
The woman was consuming alcohol and ingested six or seven prescription
sleeping pills and a muscle relaxer after learning her ex-boyfriend
was dating a new woman. Emergency personnel stated the victim
did not ingest enough medication to harm herself and she was
going to be held for observation (507).
On 20 Oct 13 Deputy Sheriff McConnell arrested
Branden D. Ramage, age 19, 206 Jennison Street, Beverly, for
underage consumption of alcohol and using a weapon while intoxicated.
Mr. Ramage stated he consumed six or seven beers during the
walk from his home to his former residence at 25 Radabaugh Road,
Belpre, to retrieve some belongings. After a short discussion
inside the residence, Mr. Ramage obtained a .22 rifle and exited
the home. Once he was outside the home, Mr. Ramage pointed the
rifle at his head, threatened to shoot himself and then pointed
the weapon at the ground and fired it. Witnesses inside the
home said at no time did Mr. Ramage threaten or point the gun
On 20 Oct 13 Erin M. Gandee, age 30, 342 Damon
Road Apt. 1, Waterford, reported sometime between 8 am and 5
pm she believes an acquaintance stole a money order she purchased
for approximately $260. This case remains under investigation
On 20 Oct 13 Kathi Lowe, age 54, 3558 School
House Road, Little Hocking, reported at some point during the
night her sixteen year old foster son fled from her home without
permission. The teenager has yet to have been located. This
case remains under investigation (129).
On 20 Oct 13 a member of the Barlow Fair Board,
8595 State Route 339, Vincent, reported an unknown suspect entered
three buildings at the fairgrounds. At this time it does not
appear any property is missing. This case remains under investigation
On 20 Oct 13 Jessica M. Garcia, age 22, 704
Butler Street, Marietta, reported she was involved in a disagreement
with the father of her young child as she rode in his vehicle
traveling from his residence in Oak Grove. Ms. Garcia stated
her boyfriend stopped the vehicle at a business on Waterford
Road and pulled her out of the vehicle. Ms. Garcia stated she
did not fear for her safety during the incident. As a result,
Deputy Sheriff Carr closed this case as unfounded.
On 20 Oct 13 Deputy Sheriff Carr met the Beverly-Waterford
Fire Department at the intersection of Mines Road and Wells
Road in response to reports of an unresponsive male in a vehicle
at that location. The vehicle, occupied in the driver’s
seat by Robert E. Britton, age 46, 3345 Eckert Road, Stockport,
has been observed parked in a similar location in the past.
Deputy Sheriff McConnell noticed Mr. Britton had a strong odor
of alcohol and that he stumbled as he ambled away from his vehicle.
Also at the scene, Deputy Carr noticed three cans of Budweiser
on the floorboard of the vehicle. Based on his observations,
Deputy McConnell arrested Mr. Britton for being in physical
control of a vehicle while being under the influence of alcohol.
At the Washington County Jail, Mr. Britton refused to submit
to a BAC test.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Shelli Louise Bailey, age 49, 2111 Jericho
Road, Walker, WV, for OVI, for making an improper lane change,
possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, all
misdemeanors. Bailey was arrested on Tuttle Street by Patrolman
Heddleston of the Belpre City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 20 Oct 13 at 2:53 am.
Brenda Kay Ramirez, age 39, 98 Acme Street
Apt. 6, Marietta, for two counts of driving under a suspended
license. Ramirez was arrested by Patrolman Harlow of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 20 Oct 13 at 9:43 pm.
Robert Eldon Britton, age 46, 3345 Eckert Road,
Stockport, for being in physical control of a vehicle while
under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Eckert was arrested
on Mines Road in Waterford by Sgt. Mankins of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 20 Oct 13 at 10:31 pm.
Branden Dwight Ramage, age 19, 206 Jennison
Street, Beverly, for underage consumption of alcohol, using
a weapon while intoxicated and violating the terms of his probation,
all misdemeanors. Ramage was arrested on Radabaugh Road by Lt.
Norman of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 20 Oct 13 at 11:42 pm.
