On 17 Oct 13 the L-A Fire Department transported Teresa D. Tilton, age 43, 12622 State Route 60, Lowell, to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment to a cut on the inside of her right wrist. Ms. Tilton stated she was washing dishes when she cut her wrist on a broken glass. The laceration was superficial. No foul play is suspected (1007).

On 17 Oct 13 a clerk at White Oak Pharmacy, 8465 State Route 339, Vincent, reported a female suspect left the store without paying for four car charms, three utility knives, a Hot Wheels car, a tape dispenser and a USB charger. The total value of the stolen items is $46.19. This case remains under investigation (1104).

On 17 Oct 13 Larry L. Carpenter, age 45, 1789 Masonic Park Road, Marietta, reported at some point during the past week the license plate was stolen off a homemade trailer on his property. This case remains under investigation (610).

On 17 Oct 13 the principal of Warren High School, 130 Warrior Drive, Vincent, reported school officials discovered what appears to be marijuana inside a Mentos container in a boys bathroom. Deputies determined the green leafy substance was not marijuana, but could be synthetic marijuana. The mass of the unknown substance is .22 grams. This case remains under investigation (1104).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Dennis Allan Morris II, age 23, 90 Killwell Run Road, Marietta, for OVI, driving under an FRA suspended license and for violating the terms of his probation, all misdemeanors. Morris was arrested near the intersection of Hart and Sixth streets by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Oct 13 at 3:32 am.

Daniel Scott Metz, age 42, 101 Allen Street, Little Hocking, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Metz was arrested in Marietta by Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Oct 13 at 11:06 am.

Alley Elizabeth Ann Harper, age 20, 4327 12th Avenue, Parkersburg, for theft, a misdemeanor. Harper was arrested at K-Mart by Patrolman Harlow of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Oct 13 at 9:10 pm.
