Archive of 10-13-13

On 13 Oct 13 a two year old Lowell resident was airlifted from Marietta Memorial Hospital to Nationwide Children’s Hospital after he ingested an unknown substance. That morning the toddler’s mother said her son appeared drunk and could not stay awake. At the hospital, emergency personnel observed that the child was lethargic and at some times unresponsive. In Columbus the toddler is being treated for opiate ingestion and seems to be improving. This case remains under investigation (597).

On 13 Oct 13 Deputy Sheriff McPeek issued a citation to Gregory A. Leasure Jr., age 26, 7248 County Road 30, Mount Gilead, OH, for driving under a suspended license, failure to stop after a crash and for failure to control. Deputy McPeek issued the citation after learning that when Mr. Leasure was leaving a party at 133 Greene Street, Newport, he struck the side of the home with his vehicle.

On 13 Oct 13 Pamela L. Gereshenski, age 45, 817 Masonic Park Road Lot 4, Marietta, reported her husband, Michael B. Page, age 46, 117 Wells Avenue Apt. B, Marietta, grabbed her by the neck and face. Ms. Gereshenski said her husband was intoxicated and angry about a landlord/tenant agreement she signed earlier in the day and pulled her out of a chair by her hair. Based on his investigation, Deputy Sheriff McPeek arrested Mr. Page for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail. At the jail, Mr. Page tested .247 BAC.

On 13 Oct 13 Stacy Sprouse, age 38, 207 Locust Street, Belpre, was backing her mother’s Dodge Neon in the parking lot of 8465 State Route 339, Vincent, when she struck the front driver side fender of a parked Saturn SUV owned by Rebecca G. Gale, age 49, 3455 State Route 124, Coolville. Mr. Sprouse departed the scene without leaving her personal information but was identified through her credit card purchase and license plate number. Both vehicles sustained light, non-functional damage (509).

The following individual was processed into the Washington County Jail:

Michael Brian Page, age 46, 117 Wells Avenue, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Page was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff McPeek and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Oct 13 at 10:50 pm.
