On 26 Sep 13 Deputy Sheriff Metts and the Dunham
Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire at 319 McGill Road,
Vincent. Nellie Gibson, age 58, parked the Saturn SUV at 10:30
the previous evening and reported the vehicle was on fire at
3:30 am. Suspiciously, the fire appears to have originated in
the front passenger seat of the vehicle. The State Fire Marshal
was contacted to conduct an investigation.
On 26 Sep 13 Deputy Sheriff McKee requested
a summons for Russell Hanes, age 58, 525 Reed Road, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct. That afternoon, Mr. Hanes angrily confronted
a Lawrence Township employee who was mowing township property
across the street from his residence. Mr. Hanes yelled and screamed
at the worker and at one point grabbed a plastic fence post
and brandished it over his head. Mr. Hanes admitted initiating
the confrontation but denied threatening the victim with the
On 26 Sep 13 Harry Bonar, age 77, 4625 Veto
Road, Vincent, reported at some point during the past two weeks
an unknown suspect(s) stole a laptop computer from his vehicle.
This case remains under investigation (507).
On 26 Sep 13 an employee of United Rentals,
1205 Pike Street, Marietta, reported a customer was due to return
a scissor lift on 14 Aug 13 and he has failed to so. The replacement
cost of the lift is approximately $800. This case remains under
On 26 Sep 13 Angela Kidder, age 45, 114 Brant
Drive, Marietta, reported sometime between 24 Sep and 26 Sep
an unknown suspect(s) stole the license plates off a heavy duty
Ford pickup truck parked at 715 Browns Road, Marietta. This
case remains under investigation (500).

Amanda Mae McDonald, age 18, 226 Staunton Street,
Huntington, WV, for possession of drugs, a felony. McDonald
was arrested near milepost fourteen on Interstate 77 by the
Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 26 Sep 13 at 1:16 pm.
Jenna Marie Ragalyi, age 20, Marietta, for
violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Ragalyi
was arrested in Marietta by Probation Officer E. Brockmeier
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Sep 13 at
