On 21 Sep 13 Ronald A. Almond, age 49, 47110 State Route 248, Long Bottom, reported he parked his vehicle at the Hilltop Raceway at 863 Blue Knob Road, Marietta, at 9 pm and when he returned to it after midnight he discovered all four tires were punctured and there scratches on both sides. This case remains under investigation (1007).

On 21 Sep 13 Thomas S. Blind, age 42, 5715 Patten Mills Road, Stockport, reported at some point during the past three days an unknown suspect(s) entered his home and stole a shotgun, a .22 rifle, a pellet gun, wheat pennies, several knives, a class ring and a gold wedding ring. This case remains under investigation (507).

On 21 Sep 13 a fourteen year old Belpre resident reported he ran away from home after his mother struck him in the face with a belt. The juvenile claimed the attack was unprovoked but the teenager’s parents contradicted his story. They stated that their son refused to help clean the house and started calling them and his sisters names. The juvenile said other things to hurt his sisters’ feelings, at which point his mother slapped him on the arm and leg with a belt. The teenager subsequently admitted his mother did not strike him in the face. Deputy Sheriff McConnell determined no charges were warranted in this case.

On 21 Sep 13 Sgt. Reeder arrested Benjamin D. Williamson, age 23, 307 E. Ninth Street, Williamstown, for domestic violence. Mr. Williamson was involved in an argument with his live-in girlfriend, Sondra Paxton, age 23, where she was house sitting at 1 Ness Place, Marietta. During the dispute, Mr. Williamson punched Ms. Paxton in the face, leaving her with a good deal of swelling and bruising.

On 21 Sep 13 Deputy Sheriff McKee and the Caldwell Fire Department responded to a fire at the residence of Harlan Ramage, age 44, at 461 Harriett Street, Macksburg. The fire appears to have originated in the stairwell of the home’s basement and spread to most of the residence. Mr. Ramage, who was not home at the time the fire ignited, stated he placed shop light under the stairwell to combat a mold problem in the basement. The State Fire Marshal was contacted for further investigation.

On 21 Sep 13 Westley A. Ladeaux, age 34, 740 Cole Coffman Road, Marietta, reported after he applied for a job advertised in an Athens newspaper, a female from the alleged company contacted him and requested he deposit two of their checks into his bank account. Mr. Ladeaux was then to keep $200 of the funds and forward the remaining $1,200 to a foreign country. When Mr. Ladeaux informed a family member about the scheme the family member advised him it was likely a scam. Mr. Ladeaux did not suffer any monetary loss. This case remains under investigation (507).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Aaron Michael Greene, age 22, 41 Skelton Street, Summerville, GA, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Greene was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Estes of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Sep 13 at 4:11 am.

Stacey Lane Robinson, age 37, 907 Washington Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Robinson was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Sep 13 at 4:53 am.

Edward Rodger Graham, age 34, 239 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Graham was arrested in Marietta by Sgt. Reeder of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Sep 13 at 5:28 am.
