On 19 Sep 13 Seth Adams, age 28, 31139 Township 232, Lewisville, OH, reported at some point during the past month and a half an unknown suspect(s) stole a radiator and a battery from an of Ford dump truck he owns at 343 Main Street, Lower Salem. This case remains under investigation (592).

On 19 Sep 13 Deputy Sheriff Hunter arrested William M. Barrows, age 34, 47472 State Route 7, New Matamoras, for domestic violence. Confronted by his live-in girlfriend, Kristica Skelley, age 32, over the state in which he returned her vehicle after borrowing it, Mr. Barrows punched Ms. Skelley in the face. Mr. Barrows then threw a glass bottle of chocolate milk at his girlfriend but did not hit her. Mr. Barrows admitted being involved in an argument with his girlfriend but denied that any physical altercation took place.

On 19 Sep 13 the owner of Vess Warner Inc., 12 Warner Second Street, Lower Salem, reported sometime during the past week eight brass end submersible pump motors were stolen from his property. The motors are valued at approximately $100. This case remains under investigation (592).

On 19 Sep 13 Denise Hathaway, age 49, 2939 Righteous Ridge Road, Waterford, reported she is terrified of her husband, Charles, age 51. Mrs. Hathaway said her husband has recently been consuming a lot of alcohol and seems to be angry all of the time. In the past Mr. Hathaway allegedly threatened his wife, slashed the tires on her vehicle and removed its license plates. Mrs. Hathaway also showed Deputy Sheriff McPeek a video her husband took that shows her sitting in a chair and the sound of a handgun slide being cocked can be heard in the background. The video then shows Mr. Hathaway approaching his wife and staring at her with the weapon in his hand. Based on his investigation, Deputy McPeek arrested Mr. Hathaway for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 19 Sep 13 an employee of Turner’s 1 Stop, 18971 State Route 339, Waterford, reported the driver of a white minivan, Ohio registration FWF3495, drove off without paying for $50.01 in gasoline. The employee said the vehicle has been involved in five total drive offs, resulting in a total loss of $197.08. This case remains under investigation (592).

On 19 Sep 13 a thirty year old Waterford resident reported over the past several days she has received a number of lewd and vulgar text messages from an unknown source. This case remains under investigation (592).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Eric St. John, age 32, 411 Wood Lane Court, Woodsfield, for OVI, driving under an FRA suspended license and speeding, all misdemeanors. St. John was arrested near milepost fifty-two on State Route 7 by Lt. Rhodes of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Sep 13 at 11:25 pm.

Terrel Coy Davis, age 28, 1968 Princeton Street, Parkersburg, for escape, a felony. Davis was arrested at the Adult Probation Office by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Sep 13 at 9:45 am.

William Michael Barrows, age 34, 126 William & Mary Court Apt. A, Henderson, KY, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Barrows was arrested in New Matamoras by Deputy Sheriff Hunter and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Sep 13 at 10:03 am.

Adam Corey Abbott, age 23, 2165 Congress Road, Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Abbott was arrested at the Adult Probation Office by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Sep 13 at 11:24 am.

Jacob Christopher Sprigg, age 19, 505 Elm Street, Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Sprigg was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Sep 13 at 3:28 pm.

James Clinton Bartimus, age 40, 2346 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, for safecracking and tampering with evidence, both felonies. Bartimus was picked up at the North Central Correctional Complex by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Sep 13 at 4:27 pm.

James Curtis Parmiter, age 31, 200 Pennock Drive Lot 33, Beverly, for tampering with evidence, a felony. Parmiter was picked up at the Correctional Reception Center by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Sep 13 at 4:43 pm.

Charles Alan Hathaway, age 51, 2939 Righteous Ridge Road, Waterford, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Hathaway was arrested on State Route 339 in Waterford by Deputy Sheriff McPeek and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Sep 13 at 6:45 pm.
