On 15 Sep 13 Lt. Gherke issued a citation to Nathan G. Harrison, age 39, 423 Williams Avenue, Williamstown, for operating a vehicle with a registration that expired in June 2013. Lt. Gherke stopped Mr. Harrison on State Route 550 near milepost four in Wesley Township.

On 15 Sep 13 Deputy Sheriff Hunter requested a warrant for Jason R. Asikainen, age 37, 16 Christopher Circle Apt. 16, Searcy, AR, for felony charge of theft. Mr. Asikainen stole a digital transit from his former employer, Shwob Energy Services, 3385 State Route 821, Marietta, and pawned it at a Belpre business on 14 Aug 13. The digital transit has an approximate value of $1,500.

On 15 Sep 13 Deputy Sheriff Reeder requested a summons for Robert G. Davis, age 52, 63 Woodford Lane, Waterford, for failing to confine/restrain a dog. A neighbor of Mr. Davis reported he’s had an ongoing problem with dogs on his property and he is tired of always having to look for dogs when he moves his vehicle.

On 15 Sep 13 Deputy Sheriff Holbert responded to reports of an intoxicated driver in the Little Hocking area. Locating the vehicle on School House Road, Deputy Holbert stopped the driver after observing the vehicle traveling in and out of its lane. The driver of the vehicle, Ronald D. Vogelsong Jr., age 31, 102 Pine Drive, Little Hocking, informed Deputy Holbert he had a concealed carry permit and directed him to the location of an unloaded handgun. Deputy Holbert secured the weapon and noticed Mr. Vogelsong had a strong odor of alcohol. Mr. Vogelsong subsequently performed poorly on a series of field sobriety tests. As a result of the stop, Deputy Holbert arrested Mr. Vogelsong for OVI and handling a weapon while intoxicated and transported him to the Washington County Jail. At he jail, Mr. Vogelsong tested .205 BAC.

On 15 Sep 13 Angela M. Dearth, age 33, 857 Southland Cemetery Road, Cutler, reported the license plate on her vehicle was replaced with an older expired plate while it was being repaired at a local shop. This case remains under investigation (910).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Sondra Mandy Kay Paxton, age 23, 1 Ness Place, Marietta, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Paxton was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Harlow of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Sep 13 at 6:38 am.

Ronald Douglas Vogelsong Jr., age 31, 102 Pine Drive, Little Hocking, for .17 breath OVI and for using a weapon while intoxicated, both misdemeanors. Vogelsong was arrested on School House Road by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Sep 13 at 9:25 pm.

Stephanie Paige Bowes, age 22, 412 Jefferson Square, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Bowes was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Harlow of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Sep 13 at 9:45 pm.

Kenneth James Moore, age 35, 1413 1/2 Third Street, Marietta, for criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors. Moore was arrested on Third Street by Patrolman Harlow of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Sep 13 at 11:20 pm.
