On 11 Sep 13 Sgt. Mankins requested a summons for a seventeen year old Beverly resident to appear in Juvenile Court for being unruly. The teenager’s father reported his daughter refuses to obey house rules, does not complete her chores and skips school. A Deputy counseled the teenager in June to change her behavior and informed her that she would be charged if she continued to be unruly.

On 11 Sep 13 Peggy L. Ayati, age 37, 1102 McDonald Road, Vincent, reported her daughter, Tiana Whitfield, age 18, 493 Beechwood Road, Whitehall, OH, was upset and yelling and screaming while holding a kitchen knife. Ms. Whitfield then approached her mother and refused her pleas to put down the knife. Ms. Whitfield did not assault her mother with the knife but Ms. Ayati said her daughter’s actions caused her to fear for her safety. Prior to the arrival of Lt. Norman and Deputy Sheriff McConnell, Ms. Whitfield relinquished the knife. While the Deputies were arresting Ms. Whitfield for domestic violence, her boyfriend, Sherman L. Hawkins, age 20, 867 Studer Avenue, Columbus, and her brother, James Whitfield, age 20, interfered. As Mr. Hawkins attempted to pull his girlfriend away, Mr. Whitfield yelled, cursed and attempted to distract the Deputies. As a result, Mr. Hawkins and Mr. Whitfield were arrested for obstructing official business and transported with Ms. Whitfield to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:
