On 5 Sep 13 Patti Graham, age 48, 1720 Duff Road, New Matamoras, reported she recently discovered an unknown suspect(s) tampered with her small safe and stole her prescription bottles of Xanax and oxycodone. This case remains under investigation (1010).

On 5 Sep 13 Deputy Sheriff Hunter requested summonses for two fifteen year old New Matamoras residents to appear in Juvenile Court on charges of delinquency by theft. The juveniles stole a motorcycle from a carport on Vine Street in New Matamoras and crashed it shortly thereafter on Brownsville Road. Under questioning, both suspects admitted stealing the motorcycle. The owner estimates the motorcycle sustained $850 in damage. No one was injured in the crash.

On 5 Sep 13 Deputy Sheriff McPeek requested a summons for a thirteen year old Vincent resident to appear in Juvenile Court for being unruly. For the second time in three days Deputies responded to the home because of the juvenile’s behavior. In the first instance the teenager inflicted superficial cuts on his leg after his father took his mobile phone away from him. During the second incident on 4 Sep, the juvenile yelled and cursed at his parents and used a slingshot to shoot projectiles at his younger brother. The juvenile’s parents also stated the teenager has refused to attend school for the past several days. Questioned about his behavior, the teenager stated he was upset over losing his mobile phone, being picked on in school and over his parents’ divorce and remarriages.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Shoshawna Marie Lowers, age 28, 970 Dixon Ridge Road, Lowell, for felony charges of violating the terms of her probation and receiving stolen property and a misdemeanor charge of nonsupport of dependants. Lowers was arrested on State Route 60 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Sep 13 at 1:45 am.

Tommy Wayne Fluharty, age 25, 404 37th Street Apt. 4, Vienna, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Fluharty was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Sep 13 at 3:30 am.

Megan Lee Stansberry, age 23, 1202 19th Street Apt 1, Vienna, for .08 breath OVI, driving under a suspended license and driving outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. Stansberry was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Harlow of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Sep 13 at 4:30 am.

Robert Blaine Spence, age 54, 5115 Braun Road, Belpre, for OVI, failure to signal and speeding, all misdemeanors. Spence was arrested on State Route 618 by Patrolman Williams of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Sep 13 at 5:19 am.

Joshua Keith Ross, age 32, 45 Hickory Lane Lot 2, New Matamoras, for three misdemeanor counts of violating the terms of his probation. Ross was arrested on Williamson Avenue by Patrolman Moyers of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Sep 13 at 11:14 pm.
