On 5 Aug 13 William S. Mendenhall, age 40, 3911 Caywood Road, Marietta, reported a box of Spider Wire delivered from Sportsman’s Guide on 25 Jul was stolen from his mailbox. Mr. Mendenhall stated he purchased the item for $85. This case remains under investigation (790).

On 5 Aug 13 Dakota S. Tidd, age 18, 1520 Scotts Ridge Road, Whipple, reported sometime between 6 pm and 8 pm an unknown suspect(s) cut a screen door in an apparent attempt to enter the home. Mr. Tidd stated nothing appears to be missing. This case remains under investigation (113).

On 5 Aug 13 Deputy Sheriff Underwood requested summonses for fifteen and sixteen year old residents to appear in Juvenile Court for being delinquent. The sixteen year old was driving a vehicle and stopped for a traffic violation on Faye Avenue. A small amount of marijuana was found in a door pocket near the fifteen year old and he also had a pack of cigarillos in his pocket. Deputies also discovered a small amount of marijuana on the seat where the sixteen year old was seated.

The following individual was processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jeffrey Dwayne Smith, age 18, 1779 Masonic Park Road, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Smith was arrested at Buckeye Park and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Aug 13 at 11:26 pm.
