On 23 Jul 13 Clyde Stapf, age 84, 3160 Milner
Road, Waterford, reported at some point during the past week
an unknown suspect(s) stole two sets of old horse drawn plows,
an engine from a 1916 Dodge and miscellaneous scrap metal from
a storage building on his property. This case remains under
On 23 Jul 13 the Salem Fire Department transported
a twenty-nine year old Lower Salem resident to Marietta Memorial
Hospital for treatment following an apparent suicide attempt.
Concerned for the victim’s safety after he made statements
about harming himself, a neighbor found the victim unconscious
in a closed garage with a motorcycle engine running. The victim
is in stable condition (910).
On 23 Jul 13 Brandon L. Crousser, age 19, 254
Tresch Road, Fleming, reported he was attending the Mud Run
music concert on State Route 550 on 19 Jul when he was threatened
by an acquaintance. For reasons unknown, Mr. Crousser said the
alleged suspect pointed a gun at his face and yelled for him
to get off his property. This case remains under investigation
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Charles Andrew Wade, age 29, 408 Fifth Street,
Lowell, for being a fugitive from justice, a felony. Wade was
arrested in Lowell by Deputy Sheriff McKee and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 23 Jul 13 at 10:45 am.
Anthony Ray Hart, age 33, 68 1/2 N. Seventh
Street, McConnelsville, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor.
Hart was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution by
Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 23 Jul 13 at 12:28 pm.
Robert Lucky Patterson, age 30, 1330 Dilla
Way, Parkersburg, for a felony charge of violating the terms
of his parole and a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear.
Patterson was arrested on Main Street in Belpre by Lt. Rhodes
of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 23 Jul 13 at 8:14 pm.
