On 21 Jul 13 Deputies and Detectives responded to the scene of death of a forty-seven year old New Matamoras resident. The woman’s death appears to be due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Though no foul play is suspected, this case remains under investigation.

On 21 Jul 13 the Little Hocking Fire Department transported Katherine Bartimus, age 32, 2346 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, to Camden Clark Hospital for treatment to a two inch laceration on her right arm. Ms. Bartimus claimed she tripped over a roll of carpet and put her arm through the window when she attempted to catch herself. However, evidence suggests that Ms. Bartimus punched through the window and cut her arm. Ms. Bartimus was later transferred to the Cabell Area Medical Center in Charleston, WV to repair tendons in her forearm.

On 21 Jul 13 Deputy Sheriff McPeek investigated reports of a damaged mailbox on Huck Road and nine damaged mailboxes on Muskingum River Road in Adams Township. The suspect(s) appear to have been traveling northbound on Muskingum River Road due to the fact that the damaged mailboxes were on the right side of the roadway.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

April Dawn Lott, age 23, 294 Forest Hills Road, Parkersburg, for felonious assault. Lott was arrested at the Locker Room by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Jul 13 at 3:00 am.

Travis Murle Moore, age 27, 17949 State Route 550, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Moore was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Jul 13 at 3:50 am.
