On 18 Jul 13 Deputy Sheriff Augenstein arrested Roger L. Ward Jr., age 35, 1225 Weppler Road, Lowell, for burglary. The previous day a resident on Muskingum River Road in Lowell reported his home was forcibly entered and that a forty-two inch television was stolen. The victim believed Mr. Ward stole the television and was later informed by a friend that Mr. Ward pawned the item in Belpre. At the pawn shop, Deputy Augenstein viewed the pawn ticket signed by Mr. Ward and observed surveillance footage of Mr. Ward pawning the television.

On 18 Jul 13 Deputy Sheriff McConnell arrested David M. Crockett, age 37, 12858 State Route 676 Apt. A, Waterford, for domestic violence, OVI, obstruction of justice and driving under a suspended license. Intoxicated and arguing with his live-in girlfriend, Staci Fair, age 38, Mr. Crockett shoved her to the floor and proceeded to strike items throughout the house with a baseball bat. While Deputies responded, Mr. Crockett departed in his truck. Upon his return Mr. Crockett struck a parked vehicle and his on top of a house boat in the back yard.

On 18 Jul 13 Brian Worstell, age 49, 29725 State Route 7, Marietta, reported sometime overnight his Remington 30-06 was stolen from his son’s residence at 27155 State Route 7. This case remains under investigation (910).

On 18 Jul 13 an employee of Par Mar, 4796 State Route 60, Marietta, reported a caller purporting to be the owner of the business requested he process a $100 and $200 Western Union cards and to give him the transfer codes. The clerk later learned the owner did not request the items and that the money from the transaction was picked up by a suspect in New Jersey. This case remains under investigation (594).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Shane Houston Erwin, age 25, 16837 Mill Site Road, Hersey, MI, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Erwin was arrested on Front Street by Patrolman McClelland of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jul 13 at 3:32 am.

David Matthew Crockett, age 37, 12858 State Route 676, Waterford, for a felony charge of domestic violence and misdemeanor charges of OVI, obstruction of justice and driving under a suspended license. Crockett was arrested in Watertown by Deputy Sheriff McConnell and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jul 13 at 4:03 am.

Stacy Michelle McLaughlin, age 32, 800 Westview Drive, Belpre, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. McLaughlin turned herself in to Corrections Officers and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jul 13 at 9:48 am.

Roger Lee Ward Jr., age 35, 1225 Weppler Road, Lowell, for burglary, a felony. Ward was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Augenstein and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jul 13 at 2:31 pm.

Curtis Jay Noel, age 51, 255 Arends Ridge Road, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Noel was arrested at the office of Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jul 13 at 5:18 pm.

Mary Melissa Busch, age 48, 1179 Brush Road, Marietta, for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Busch was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff B. Johnson and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jul 13 at 9:43 pm.

Paul Lee Hargrove, age 30, 395 Bette Street, Akron, for felony charges of burglary, disrupting public service and theft and misdemeanor charges of assault and theft. Hargrove turned himself in to Corrections Officers and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jul 13 at 9:58 pm.
