Archive of 07-17-13

On 17 Jul 13 Richard B. Medley, age 60, 6 Orange Street, Hockingport, OH, was traveling eastbound on State Route 618 when he struck a deer near the entrance of Kraton Polymers Park in Belpre Township. The collision caused minor damage to the front driver side fender of Mr. Medley’s Pontiac minivan (1007).

On 17 Jul 13 Hoyt Adkins, age 74, 200 Martin Road, Reno, reported he misplaced his wallet late last month and since that time his ATM card to withdraw $62.45 from his account. This case remains under investigation (113).

On 17 Jul 13 Scott Pasco, age 31, 7001 Muskingum River Road, Lowell, reported sometime between 8 am and 2 pm an unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered his residence and stole a forty-two inch television. This case remains under investigation (129).

On 17 Jul 13 Deputy Sheriff McKee issued a citation to Rebecca Sergent, age 23, 310 Third Street, Lowell, for driving under a suspended license and for failure to register a vehicle. Deputy McKee stopped Ms. Sergent on Fourth Street in Lowell.

FELONY DRUG ARRESTS

Armed with information concerning a possible methamphetamine lab, Major Crimes Task Force Agents executed a search warrant at the residence of Brandy N. Carder, age 27, at 114 Oakview Drive Apt. 11, Marietta. Inside the residence Agents located lithium batteries Coleman fuel, hydrochloric acid and various other items utilized to manufacture methamphetamine. At the conclusion of the search warrant Agents arrested Ms. Carder and Dennis C. Crockett, age 36, 108 Third Street, Belpre, on second degree felony charges of illegal assembly of drug making chemicals within 1,000 feet of a school.

Both suspects remain incarcerated in the Washington County Jail in lieu of $35,000 bond.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Christopher Justin Starcher, age 29, 1507 Washington Avenue, Parkersburg, for criminal mischief, possession of drug paraphernalia and for disorderly conduct by intoxication, all misdemeanors. Starcher was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Stump of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jul 13 at 1:00 am.

Joshua David Scott, age 26, 110 Private Drive Apt. 258, Ironton, OH, for possession of drugs, a felony. Scott was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff Doak and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jul 13 at 12:49 pm.

Nathaniel Ross Stevens, age 24, 301 Third Street, Lowell, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Stevens was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff McKee and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jul 13 at 9:59 pm.
