On 2 Jul 13 Deputy Sheriff Holbert responded to Collins Road, Little Hocking, in reference to several bags of trash laying along the roadway. This case remains under investigation at this time.

On 2 Jul 13 Deputy Sheriff Hunter was dispatched to Newport in reference to an unruly child. The child will be summoned into Juvenile Court in regards to this investigation.

On 2 Jul 13 Deputy Sheriff Blamble made contact with Don E. Groghan, age 42, 1469 Coal Run Road, Marietta, in reference a complaint of dogs at large. Mr. Groghan was advised to keep his animals restrained. It also appeared to Mr. Groghan’s animals were not registered for 2013. A minor misdemeanor citation was issued to Mr. Groghan for Failure to Register.

On 2 Jul 13 Adult Parole Authority advised Deputy Simmons of a prisoner transport from her office to the Washington County Jail. The suspect, James C. Parmiter, age 30, 210 1/2 Sixth Street, Beverly, was found to be in possession of a urine sample to be used in his testing with Adult Parole. Parmiter was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Tampering with Evidence.

On 2 Jul 13 Lois Simms, age 80, 1045 Grindstone Drive, Marietta, reported her chickens being killed by a neighbor’s dog. David Mason, age 31, 879 Grindstone Drive, was issued a citation for Failure to Restrain. (713)

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Mark James McCabe, age 32, 241 Hillcrest Drive, Marietta, for Disorderly Conduct, a misdemeanor. McCabe was arrested by Patrolman Wentzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jul 13 at 5:52 am.

James Curtis Parmiter, age 30, 210 1/2 Sixth Street, Beverly, for Tampering with Evidence, a felony, and Probation Violation. Parmiter was arrested by Deputy Simmons in Marietta and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jul 13 at 12:36 am.

William Joseph Mitchell, age 28, 516 Smith Street, Marietta, for Theft, a felony, Obstructing Official Business, a misdemeanor, and Failing to Report a Crime, a misdemeanor. Mitchell was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jul 13 at 6:54 pm.

Elmer Charles Wenzel, age 22, 118 Bartlett Street, Apt. D, Marietta, for Failure to Reinstate Operators License, a misdemeanor, and Possession of Drugs, a misdemeanor. Wenzel was arrested at the Gilman Trailer Park by Patrolman Nohe of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jul 13 at 8:55 am.

Shawn Anthony Gill, age 33, 39504 Road Ford Rd, Lower Salem, for Receiving Stolen Property, a felony. Gill was arrested on Pike Street by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jul 13 at 9:12 pm.
