On 23 Jun 13 Donna Cogley, age 61, 122 Tennis Center Drive Apt. 10, Marietta, reported she briefly left her purse unattended while a neighbor visited her apartment the previous evening and during that time she believes her neighbor stole three bottles of her prescription medication. This case remains under investigation (912).

On 23 Jun 13 the Devola Fire Department transported Raymond E. Ryan, age 45, 1431 State Route 821, Marietta, to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment to first and second degree burns. Mr. Ryan was lighting a pile of brush using gasoline when the fire flashed toward him. Mr. Ryan suffered burns to approximately 25% of his body, with the most severe being on his forearms and his right arm pit. Mr. Ryan was later life-flighted to OSU Medical Center for additional treatment (912).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Cynthia Mae Johnson, age 49, 231 E. Faye Avenue, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Johnson was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Jun 13 at 3:51 am.

Justin Ryan Thorson, age 38, 418 Front Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Thorson was arrested on Second Street by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Jun 13 at 3:58 am.

James Luther Carney Jr., age 60, 205 Second Street Lot 7, Beverly for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Carney was arrested in Beverly by Patrolman Schaad of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Jun 13 at 7:04 pm.
