On 20 Jun 13 a neighbor reported hearing a loud noise at the Little Hocking Pump Station at 1881 State Route 555, Little Hocking. At the scene, Lt. Rhodes and Deputy Sheriff Metts observed a broken light and a damaged concrete down spout water diverter. An employee of the Pump Station responded to the scene and determined no property was missing. This case remains under investigation.

On 20 Jun 13 Sgt. McLeish and Deputy Sheriff Metts responded to a domestic dispute at the residence of Janet Barton, age 55, at 56 Albright Lane, Belpre. Ms. Barton's daughter was at her mother's residence that evening to retrieve medication for her father when an argument erupted. Ms. Barton said he daughter spat in her face and pulled her hair. Contrarily, Ms. Barton's daughter stated her mother slapped her with a notepad and pulled her hair. Ms. Barton declined to pursue charges against her daughter and asked that she not return to her property. As a result, Deputy Metts closed this case as unfounded.

On 20 Jun 13 Violet Porter, age 49, 3685 State Route 676, Stockport, reported she believes her niece, Chelsea Sagowitz, age 22, 58 Franklin Drive, Little Hocking, broke into her safe and stole three bottles of prescription medication. Confronted by Ms. Porter, Ms. Sagowitz admitted stealing the medication and gave her aunt $250 to repair damage she did to the safe. Ms. Sagowitz informed Deputy Sheriff Brockmeier that she unlocked the safe with a bobby pin and consumed or sold a portion of the medication and later returned what was remaining. Consequently, Deputy Brockmeier arrested Ms. Sagowitz for theft and safecracking and transported her to the Washington County Jail.

On 20 Jun 13 Charles L. Barr, age 69, 2172 State Route 339, Belpre, reported he recently discovered a utility trailer was stolen from outside a vacant residence he owns at 210 State Route 339. This case remains under investigation (507).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

David Aaron Hansen, age 35, State Route 800, Woodsfield, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Hansen was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Warden of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Jun 13 at 9:57 am.

Karen Ann Corlew, age 48, 666 ½ Main Street, Conneaut, OH, for speeding, resisting arrest, possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and for disorderly conduct by intoxication, all misdemeanors. Corlew was arrested in Belpre by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Jun 13 at 12:34 pm.

Amber Dionne Martin, age 23, 263 Wolfe Run Road, Rockport, WV, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Martin turned herself in to Sgt. Deems at the Washington County Courthouse and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Jun 13 at 12:47 pm.

Chelsea Lynn Sagowitz, age 22, 3685 State Route 675, Stockport, for safecracking and theft, both felonies. Sagowitz was arrested in Beverly by Deputy Sheriff Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Jun 13 at 4:45 pm.
