Archive of 05-22-13

On 22 May 13 Beverly A. Walker, age 59, 1157 Congress Road, Belpre, reported sometime between 8 am and 2 pm an unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered her home. Mrs. Walker said the only items that appear to be missing are a jewelry box and a box of costume jewelry. This case remains under investigation (113).

On 22 May 13 the Salem Fire Department transported Cole Maston, age 21, 930 Horseneck Road, Waverly, WV, to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment following a motorcycle crash. Mr. Maston was riding his motorcycle at 7510 State Route 821, Whipple, when he landed awkwardly after a triple jump. Mr. Maston lost control of the motorcycle and fell onto his head, neck and shoulders. Treated for a possible concussion, Mr. Maston was later released (790).

On 22 May 13 Amy R. Jarvis, age 32, 1231 Ellis Run Road, Cutler, reported her husband, Tyler, age 26, arrived home in the early morning hours highly intoxicated and belligerent. Arguing with his wife over the noise he was making, Mr. Jarvis unscrewed two fluorescent bulbs from a ceiling fan and threw them at his wife. One bulb struck Mrs. Jarvis in the back and caused two minor scratches. Mr. Jarvis admitted throwing the light bulbs at his wife but claimed he did not mean to harm her. Based on his investigation, Deputy Sheriff McPeek arrested Mr. Jarvis for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 22 May 13 Sgt. Smeeks issued a citation to Adam K. Morris, age 21, 775 Turkey Hollow Road, Cutler, for driving under a permit without a licensed driver present. Sgt. Smeeks stopped Mr. Morris on State Route 555 near milepost ten in Wesley Township.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Gary Lee Jackson, age 31, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Jackson was arrested on Pike Street by Patrolman Newell of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 May 13 at 3:00 am.

Tyler Gerald Jarvis, age 26, 1231 Ellis Run Road, Cutler, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Jarvis was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff McPeek and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 May 13 at 5:00 am.

Denice Princess Carver, age 40, 5195 Warren Chapel Road, Marietta, for receiving stolen property, a felony. Carver was arrested at her residence by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 May 13 at 10:20 am.

Scott Anthony Daniels, age 23, 1110 Neil Street, Parkersburg, for criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor. Daniels was arrested on Elm Street by Patrolman Heddleston of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 May 13 at 10:49 am.

Brandon Scott Enoch, age 22, 819 Congress Road, Belpre, for operating a vehicle with an expired license, failure to control and for not wearing a seat belt, all misdemeanors. Enoch was arrested at his residence by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 May 13 at 11:26 am.

Sara Kay Hewett, age 19, 61 Hanes Street, Vienna, for contempt of a court order and for violating the terms of her probation, both misdemeanors. Hewett turned herself in to Corrections Officers and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 May 13 at 11:49 am.

Lindsey Ray Quick, age 23, 5324 Sandhill Road, Coolville, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Quick turned himself in to Deputy Sheriff Brockmeier and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 May 13 at 12:31 pm.
