On 21 May 13 Lt. Stackpole, Deputy Sheriff Blamble and the Warren Fire Department responded to a fire at a vacant residence owned by Nicola Rogers, age 54, at 55 Chainey Run Road, Marietta. The fire, the origin of which is unknown, caused moderate damage to the interior of the home and caused a furnace to fall through the first floor and into the basement. No foul play is suspected.

On 21 May 13 Erica Kidder, age 20, 1244 Drag Strip Road, Belpre, reported her boyfriend, the father of her children, Lindsey Quick, age 23, 5324 Sandhill Road, Coolville, assaulted her earlier in the evening. Angry that Ms. Kidder was speaking to his ex-girlfriend on Facebook, Mr. Quick began yelling at her, then pulled her hair, twisted her arm and slapped her in the face. Questioned via phone, Mr. Quick denied striking Ms. Kidder and claimed she was off her medications and hitting herself. Based on his investigation, Deputy Sheriff Blamble requested a warrant for Mr. Quick for domestic violence. Mr. Quick turned himself in on the warrant the next day.

On 21 May 13 Roy Buxton, age 52, 19055 State Route 821, Macksburg, was backing his pickup truck and trailer into a driveway at 19113 State Route 821, Macksburg, when he struck a truck topper owned by James Corder. The truck topper sustained minor damage (912).

The following individual wAS processed into the Washington County Jail:

Heather Dawn Thompson, age 24, 116 Harmar Street, Marietta, for criminal damaging, disorderly conduct by intoxication and for violating the terms of her probation, all misdemeanors. Thompson was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 May 13 at 5:30 pm.
