Archive of 05-18-13

On 18 May 13 Amanda Stacy, age 33, 6874 State Route 821, Whipple, reported she fled with her daughter to a neighbor’s home following an argument with her husband. Mrs. Stacy’s husband followed her and pounded on the home’s front door, threatening to break it down if his wife did not give him his daughter. Mrs. Stacy said she was not threatened and did not fear for her safety during the incident. As a result, Deputy Sheriff Carr closed this case as unfounded.

On 18 May 13 Deputy Sheriff McConnell arrested Carl E. Mace, age 46, 3301 Second Avenue, Vienna, for domestic violence. When his thirteen year old son refused to leave the Drag Strip Road residence they were visiting, Mr. Mace picked him up and body slammed him to the ground, temporarily knocking him out. The teenager, who was transported to the hospital as a precaution, appeared frightened and stated he could not recall what happened during the incident.

On 18 May 13 Regina Gasser, age 48, 45712 Township Road 2313, Lewisville, OH, reported at some point during the past two days an unknown suspect(s) stole a tent, three tarps, a heater and stove from her campsite at 6440 State Route 26, Marietta. This case remains under investigation (594).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Carl Edward Mace, age 46, 3301 Second Avenue, Vienna, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Mace was arrested on Drag Strip Road by Deputy Sheriff McConnell and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 May 13 at 2:19 am.

Thomas Michael Emerick, age 44, 301 Oakwood Avenue, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Emerick was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Estes of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 May 13 at 3:31 am.

Taylor Layne Parmiter, age 22, 114 1/2 Putnam Street Apt. 2, Marietta, for breaking and entering, a felony. Parmiter was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 May 13 at 9:15 pm.
