On 7 May 13 Cheryl A. Hall, age 37, 2071 Cave Hill Road, Little Hocking, reported two days earlier she discovered the interior passenger side of her vehicle was damaged by a fire. Ms. Hall said the inoperable vehicle is parked at her father’s residence at 952 Veto Road, Little Hocking, and was undamaged when she last checked it a week ago. This case remains under investigation (713).

On 7 May 13 Deputy Sheriff Hunter and the Reno Fire Department were dispatched to a vehicle fire at 725 Sandhill Road, Marietta. Owned by Melissa Lucas, age 42, 808 Warren Street, Marietta, the 2002 Kia Spectra was nearly completely burnt. The cause of the fire is unknown but may be related to overheating problems that Ms. Lucas said the vehicle was having. The State Fire Marshal was contacted to conduct further investigation.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Gregory Neil Stephens, age 35, 1308 Williamson Avenue Apt. 5D, New Matamoras, for cruelty to animals, a misdemeanor. Stephens was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Hunter and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 May 13 at 1:48 am.

Vincent Edward Fischbach, age 22, 4953 Pine Ridge Road, Wooster, OH, for driving under an FRA suspended license and speeding, both misdemeanors. Fischbach was arrested near the Noble County line by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 May 13 at 2:30 pm.

Doreen Ann Freeman, age 54, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Freeman was picked up at the Noble County line by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 May 13 at 3:05 pm.

Mark Randolph Maynard, age 46, 111 W. Montgomery Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Maynard was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 May 13 at 4:20 pm.

Patrick Dean Worstell, age 28, 320 Browns Road, Marietta, for possession of drugs, a felony. Worstell was picked up at the Denmar Correctional Center by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 May 13 at 6:05 pm.
