On 27 Apr 13 Timothy Anderson, age 55, 426 Sweetapple Road, Vincent, reported he was mowing his property when he discovered several articles of trash along the roadway. Identifying a suspect, Deputy Sheriff Holbert determined the trash was not disposed on Mr. Anderson’s properly intentionally or maliciously. The suspect volunteered to contact Mr. Anderson to apologize. No charges were filed.

On 27 Apr 13 Lt. Gherke and the Fearing, Little Muskingum and Salem fire departments were dispatched to a fire on the property of Charles R. Roberts, age 40, at 1399 Scotts Ridge Road, Whipple. An ember from a pile of burning brush landed in a nearby wooded area, igniting leaves lying on the ground. The fire burned between one and two acres before being extinguished.

On 27 Apr 13 Deputy Sheriff Huffer responded to the scene of death of a fifty-seven year old Lowell resident. The woman’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

On 27 Apr 13 Jeffery Rogers, age 53, 631 Cave Hill Road, Little Hocking, reported after he discovered fingerprints on the outside of a window, he observed dents in the screens of other windows where it appeared someone attempted to gain entry into the home. No property appears missing or out of place in the home. This case remains under investigation (509).

On 27 Apr 13 Deputy Sheriff Hunter and the Reno Fire Department responded to a fire at the residence of Patrick E. Kesselring, age 41, at 745 Coal Run Road, Marietta. The fire appears to have originated in a heating lamp that was used to warm ducklings on the single wide trailer’s deck. The home sustained moderate damage due to the fire as well as damage due to smoke and water. No foul play is suspected.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Brandon Clark Knight, age 25, 7000 Christopher Wren Drive Apt. 307, Wexford, PA, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Knight was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Newell of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Apr 13 at 1:01 am.

Julie Ann McCauley, age 50, 103 Oakwood Avenue, Marietta, for OVI, a misdemeanor. McCauley was arrested on Seventh Street by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Apr 13 at 3:07 am.

Dustin Alan Reynolds, age 29, 105 Groves Avenue, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors. Reynolds was arrested on Montgomery Street by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Apr 13 at 8:16 pm.

Katrina Marie Lynn Nolan, age 41, 1208 Colonial Terrace, Marietta, for obstructing official business and for consuming alcohol in a vehicle, both misdemeanors. Nolan was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Hunter and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Apr 13 at 9:34 pm.
