On 26 Apr 13 Beatrice Burkhart, age 69, 122 Tennis Center Drive Apt. 8, Marietta, reported she believes an acquaintance who visited her home the previous morning stole approximately sixty of her Tramadol pills. This case remains under investigation (1010).

On 26 Apr 13 Lt. Stackpole issued a citation to Lawrence E. Haught Jr., age 34, 4170 Alabama Avenue NW, North Lawrence, OH, for operating a vehicle with an expired registration. Lt. Stackpole stopped Mr. Haught on Interstate 77 near milepost thirteen in Salem Township.

On 26 Apr 13 Lt. Stackpole issued a citation to Matthew R. Micciche, age 32, 90 Elmdale Avenue, Akron, for traveling 72 mph in a 55 mph zone. Lt. Stackpole stopped Mr. Micciche on State Route 7 near Veto Road in Warren Township.

On 26 Apr 13 Lt. Stackpole issued a citation to Colton C. Heath, age 23, 6011 McLeansville Road, McLeansville, NC, for operating a vehicle with an expired registration. Lt. Stackpole stopped Mr. Heath on Interstate 77 near milepost eleven in Salem Township. During the traffic stop a canine indicated the presence of drugs in Mr. Heath’s vehicle. A search of the vehicle yielded a marijuana pipe and a grinder, with both having marijuana residue. Consequently, Lt. Stackpole requested a summons for Mr. Heath for possession of drug paraphernalia.

On 26 Apr 13 Deputy Sheriff Huffer requested summonses for Brian Worstell, age 49, 29725 State Route 7, Marietta, and Jim Ritchey, age 49, 115 Forshey Road, Marietta, for disorderly conduct. The two men quarreled briefly outside of Mr. Worstell’s home after the pair’s teenage sons were found under the influence of marijuana earlier that morning. The fifteen and seventeen year olds were summonsed to Juvenile Court on charges related to possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On 26 Apr 13 Deputy Sheriff Hunter issued minor misdemeanor citations to Rodney Wells, age 55, 389 Lauer Road, Whipple, and Victor Wells, age 28, 305 Lauer Road, for disorderly conduct by fighting. Arguing over a tractor tire that Victor’s father believed Rodney stole, the two relatives hurled insults at each other during a brief confrontation. Both suspects threatened to beat up the other suspect but witnesses confirmed no physical altercation to place. Witnesses also agreed that Victor and Rodney were equally at fault for the incident.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Gary Lynn Harris, age 22, 208 Seventh Street, Beverly, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Harris was arrested at the office of P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Apr 13 at 9:45 am.

Lionel Justin Gore, age 26, 130 Cemetery Road, New Matamoras, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Gore was arrested in Newport by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Apr 13 at 5:16 pm.

Lynsey Brooke Erb, age 25, 811 Pioneer Community Road, Saint Marys, WV, for OVI, possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and for operating a vehicle with expired license plates, all misdemeanors. Erb was arrested in Newport by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Apr 13 at 5:49 pm.

Shane Lewis Gillespie, age 24, 101 N. Third Street, Clarksburg, WV, for felony charges of receiving stolen property and possession of drugs and misdemeanor charges of possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gillespie was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Heddleston of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Apr 13 at 10:19 pm.
