On 20 Apr 13 Deputies and Detectives responded
to the scene of death of a forty-six year old Marietta Township
resident. The victim was sent to the medical examiner in Montgomery
County for autopsy. Though the cause of the man’s death
does not appear suspicious, this case remains under investigation.
On 20 Apr 13 Albert C. Miner, age 54, 2549
Bear Run Road, Reno, reported at the beginning of the year he
started noticing items missing from his home and a storage building
on his property. Mr. Miner said the stolen items include three
chainsaws, a generator, a welder, an air compressor, a winch,
an auger, a .357 revolver and four .22 rifles. The total of
the stolen property is in excess of $3,800. This case remains
under investigation (910).
On 20 Apr 13 Sgt. Mankins requested a summons
for a seventeen year old Whipple resident to appear in Juvenile
Court on a charge of delinquency by possession of drugs and
possession of drug paraphernalia. Stopped for a traffic violation
on Muskingum River Road, the teenager produced a bag of marijuana
and a glass marijuana pipe when he was asked if he had any contraband
in his vehicle.
On 20 Apr 13 Deputy Sheriff McConnell responded
to a call from a woman who was reportedly lost in the area of
Clark Road and State Route 555 in Wesley Township. Located at
Par Mar in Barlow, the caller, Sherry Bonson, age 47, 2536 27th
Avenue, Parkersburg, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
Ms. Bonson admitted consuming alcohol that evening and driving
her vehicle to its current location. Following her poor performance
on field sobriety tests, Ms. Bonson was arrested for OVI and
transported to the Washington County Jail. At the jail, Ms.
Bonson tested .110 BAC.
Upon receiving information that a local resident
obtained items utilized to manufacture methamphetamine, Agents
of the Major Crimes Task Force obtained and executed a search
warrant at the residence of Brandon S. Walters, age 30, at 715
Greene Street Apt. A, Marietta, on 19 Apr 13. In addition to
pseudoephedrine, Agents discovered other chemicals Mr. Walters
said he purchased in order to resell to a friend to manufacture
methamphetamine. Mr. Walters admitted successfully making a
small quantity of methamphetamine at the same residence in October
2012 and stated the pseudoephedrine he purchased earlier in
the day was to be used to make methamphetamine. The items seized
during the search warrant are commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine
using the “one pot” or “shake and bake”
Walters was arrested and charged with manufacturing
of methamphetamine within the vicinity of a school, a first
degree felony, and illegal assembly of drug making chemicals
within the vicinity of a school, a second degree felony. Walters
is incarcerated in the Washington County Jail without bond pending
his initial appearance in Marietta Municipal Court on Monday.

Brandon Scott Walters, age 30, 715 Greene Street
Apt. A, Marietta, for illegal assembly of drug making chemicals
and illegal manufacturing of drugs, both felonies. Walters was
arrested at his residence by Detective Huffman of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 20 Apr 13 at 2:20 am.
Seneca Anne Wolfe, age 35, 1105 Sand Ridge
Road, Waterford, for OVI and for driving outside the marked
lanes of travel, both misdemeanors. Wolfe was arrested on Seventh
Street in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 20 Apr 13 at 2:28 am.
Sherry Ann Bonson, age 47, 2536 27th Avenue,
Parkersburg, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Bonson was arrested on
State Route 339 by Deputy Sheriff McConnell and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 20 Apr 13 at 8:06 am.
Nick Lee Losey Jr., age 19, 410 Robinson Hill
Road, Marietta, for felonious assault and for misdemeanor charges
of violating the terms of his probation and disorderly conduct
by intoxication. Losey was arrested on Linwood Street by Patrolman
Estes of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 20 Apr 13 at 9:59 pm.
Gary Lee Losey II, age 31, 818 Lancaster Street,
Marietta, for assault, a misdemeanor. Losey was arrested on
Linwood Street by Patrolman Estes of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
20 Apr 13 at 10:11 pm.
