On 17 Apr 13 Carina Wittekind, age 29, 1007 Pike Street, Marietta, reported she was away from her home for the past five days and at some point during that timeframe an unknown suspect(s) stole a washer and a dryer from outside her home. This case remains under investigation (126).

On 17 Apr 13 Robert M. Strong, age 34, 78 Teri Lane, Little Hocking, reported on 3 Feb 13 an installer for Dish Network stole a drill, a voltmeter and $100 cash when he installed services at his home. Mr. Strong contacted the local Dish office and had his drill returned but has been unsuccessful in having the currency and voltmeter returned. The voltmeter is valued at approximately $400. This case remains under investigation (1104).

On 17 Apr 13 Michael L. Claytor, age 52, 3645 Waterford Road, Marietta, reported he was driving northbound on Gilman Street when he passed a vehicle on a double yellow line that was driving at a very low rate of speed. That action apparently angered the driver of the vehicle, who then accelerated his pickup truck and served in Mr. Claytor’s direction, forcing him to stop alongside the road. The driver of the pickup truck, Michael L. Eichmiller, age 63, 3844 Waterford Road, Marietta, approached Mr. Claytor and punched him in the face three times. A wrestling match ensued after Mr. Claytor exited his vehicle and ended when Mr. Claytor was able to subdue Mr. Eichmiller. Questioned by Deputy Sheriff Holbert, Mr. Eichmiller admitted consuming four beers an hour prior to the confrontation, which he claimed was instigated by Mr. Claytor. Following his poor performance on field sobriety tests, Mr. Eichmiller was arrested for OVI and assault and transported to the Washington County Jail. At the jail, Mr. Eichmiller tested .100 BAC.

On 17 Apr 13 Deputy Sheriff Underwood issued a citation to Tiffany M. Robinson, age 26, 109 Chapel Avenue, Marietta, for operating a vehicle with a driver’s license that expired more than six months Ago. Deputy Underwood stopped Ms. Robinson on State Route 550 near Chapel Avenue in Marietta Township.

On 17 Apr 13 Deputy Sheriff Underwood issued a citation to Michael L. Clayton, age 52, 5270 State Route 376 NW, McConnelsville, for driving under an FRA suspended license and for passing on a double yellow line. Deputy Underwood stopped Mr. Clayton on Waterford Road near BF Goodrich Road in Muskingum Township.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Brittany Maria Martin, age 27, 100 Linwood Avenue, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a felony. Martin was arrested at her residence by Probation Officer Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Apr 13 at 1:20 pm.

Steven Eric Knotts, age 25, 711 Charles Street, Marietta, for telephone harassment and menacing, both misdemeanors. Knotts was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Apr 13 at 3:00 pm.

Michael Lawren Eichmiller, age 63, 3844 Waterford Road, Marietta, for .08 breath OVI and assault, both misdemeanors. Eichmiller was arrested on Waterford Road by Deputy Sheriff R. Reeder and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Apr 13 at 8:00 pm.
