On 16 Apr 13 Sgt. B. Reeder and Deputy Sheriffs Augenstein, Underwood and White responded to a report of a deceased male outside an auto parts store in Beverly. The sixty-seven year old Harrisville, WV resident was found shortly after midnight after completing a delivery to the store. With the cause of death not apparent, the victim was sent to Montgomery County for an autopsy. No foul play is suspected.

On 16 Apr 13 Jennifer Thomas, age 33, 1524 Turkey Hollow Road, Cutler, reported her husband woke late for work and immediately initiated an argument. Mrs. Thomas stated her husband threatened to take their children and to not allow her to see them but he did not threaten or harm her in any way. Based on Mrs. Thomas’ statement, Deputy Sheriff Metts closed this case as unfounded.

On 16 Apr 13 Deputy Sheriff Augenstein requested summonses for Jeffrey L. Byrd, age 56, 48 McAtee Street, Cutler, and his stepson, Joshua A. Littleton, age 31, 9680 State Route 555, Cutler, for disorderly conduct by fighting. Mr. Littleton was watching television at Mr. Byrd’s residence that evening when he became upset that he could not hear the television over the volume of the conversations taking place near him. A short argument between Mr. Byrd and Mr. Littleton followed, during which time Mr. Byrd shoved Mr. Littleton onto a couch. Neither party reported being in fear for their safety during the incident.

On 16 Apr 13 Christopher L. Brown, age 34, 1915 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, reported the previous afternoon his girlfriend, while brandishing a screwdriver, threatened to kill him. During an argument, Mr. Brown also said his girlfriend burst into his home through a closed door. Mr. Brown believes his girlfriend subsequently used the screwdriver to puncture a tire on his vehicle. Mr. Brown declined to pursue charges in the matter (507).

On 16 Apr 13 Deputy Sheriff Schubert requested a summons for Daniel Metz, age 42, 101 Allen Street, Little Hocking, for failure to confine/restrain a dog. A neighbor in the area reported she was walking along the road when a pit bull belonging to Mr. Metz attempted to bite her, leaving a scratch on her hand. Deputy Schubert recognized the dog as being one that also bit a juvenile in December 2012.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Ashley Lynae Moore, age 27, 15854 Ilene Street, Detroit, MI, for failure to appear, possession of criminal tools and receiving stolen property, all felonies. Moore turned herself in to Corrections Officers and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Apr 13 at 7:18 am.

Marthanna Gayle Savage, age 44, 716 Franklin Avenue, Belpre, for violating the terms of her parole, a felony. Savage was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Cook of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Apr 13 at 8:47 am.

Jason Bradley Whittaker, age 35, 22781 State Route 60, Beverly, for three misdemeanor counts of failure to appear. Whittaker was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Hilverding of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Apr 13 at 12:49 pm.

Nicole Renee McCutcheon, age 35, 680 Main Street Apt. A, Waterford, for theft, a misdemeanor. McCutcheon was arrested at Wal-Mart by Patrolman Estes of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Apr 13 at 7:13 pm.
