On 6 Apr 13 Jeremy Vandine, age 32, 3060 Braun Road, Belpre, reported when he returned home from work around 8 am he discovered the driver side rear window and back window on his Ford Explorer were broken. This case remains under investigation (507).

On 6 Apr 13 employees of the Washington County Juvenile Center reported a fifteen year old ran away from the facility. The teenager turned himself in several hours later.

On 6 Apr 13 Deputy Sheriff McKee were dispatched to a fire at 400 Summit Road, Marietta. Ignited by a cigarette thrown into a plastic trash can, the fire caused minor damage to the deck of the home, which is owned by Washington-Morgan County Community Action. No injuries were reported.

On 6 Apr 13 Deputy Sheriff McConnell requested summonses for Brenda Watson, age 47, 520 Gantsville Road, Little Hocking, and her daughter, Rachel L. Culver, same address, for disorderly conduct by fighting. During a confrontation over dirty dishes, each party attempted to strike the other with a closed fist.

On 6 Apr 13 Austin Satterfield, age 18, 1165 Daniels Run Road, Millstone, WV, reported he left his vehicle briefly unattended after it became stuck in a ditch on Briggs Hill Road and during that time an unknown suspect(s) broke the rear window and stole four fishing poles, a tackle box and $300 in tools. This case remains under investigation (113).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Nicholas Auston Shaw, age 20, 206 S. Fifth Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Shaw was arrested on Meigs Street by Patrolman Sury of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 13 at 12:42 am.

Tyler Lynn Oberdier, age 21, 105 Hickory Street, Lower Salem, for .17 breath OVI and for driving left of center, both misdemeanors. Oberdier was arrested near the intersection of Market and Franklin streets by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 13 at 3:23 am.

Christopher Adam Lent, age 26, 328 1/2 Gilman Avenue, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Lent was arrested by Patrolman Estes at the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 13 at 6:01 am.

Andrew James Plants, age 34, 7446 Federal Road, Cutler, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Plants was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff McConnell and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 13 at 4:19 pm.

Scott Michael Mickens, age 37, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license and for operating a vehicle with an expired registration, both misdemeanors. Mickens was arrested at Wal-Mart by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 13 at 5:36 pm.

Christopher Shawn McLeod, age 46, 112 Devol Drive, Marietta, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. McLeod was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Estes of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 13 at 9:38 pm.

Larry Dean Loy, age 53, 122 Williamson Avenue, New Matamoras, for resisting arrest and for disorderly conduct by intoxication, both misdemeanors. Loy was arrested in New Matamoras by Patrolman Brockmeier of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 13 at 11:41 pm.
