On 5 Apr 13 Sgt. Mankins requested a warrants for Brian S. Moore, age 37, 1220 Williamson Avenue, New Matamoras, on charges of automobile theft and criminal trespassing. Earlier that morning a resident a Parkway Townhouses reported his 1991 Chevy Silverado was stolen from outside his residence. A suspect matching Mr. Moore’s appearance was seen near the victim’s vehicle and the vehicle was later observed parked near his mother’s home in Lubeck, WV.

On 5 Apr 13 a collections officer for Community Bank of Parkersburg reported he believes the former owners of a foreclosed residence at 85 Cherry Blossom Lane, Little Hocking, stole an air conditioning unit when they moved. This case remains under investigation (507).

On 5 Apr 13 Deputy Sheriff McKee and the Grandview, Graysville and Little Muskingum fire departments responded to a brush fire on the property of Rodmann J. Wilhelm, age 55, at 1795 Wilson Run Road, Graysville. The fire spread from a pile of burning brush and was extinguished after burning between three and five acres of wooded hillside. No structures on the property were damaged.

On 5 Apr 13 Deputy Sheriff R. Reeder responded to a report of a vehicle submerged underwater near Devols Dam on Muskingum River Road. Intoxicated after consuming eight beers in the four hours that passed since the Jeep began to sink, the vehicle’s owner, Charles L. Trippett, age 50, 301 Mitchells Lane, Washington, WV, explained he was in the Jeep searching for a new fishing spot when he struck a rock. Mr. Trippett said that caused the vehicle to slide further into the water. With the vehicle nearly completely submerged, trash floated from the vehicle and into the Muskingum River. Consequently, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources charged Mr. Trippett with polluting land/water. Trippett was additionally charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Michelle Lynn Boyd, age 44, 3701 Zion Ridge Road, Marietta, for being a fugitive from justice, a misdemeanor. Boyd was arrested at the Adult Probation Office by Deputy Sheriff Harlow and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Apr 13 at 9:21 am.

Henry Clement Lori Jr., age 51, 100 Sacra Via Apt. 2, Marietta, for theft, a misdemeanor. Lori was arrested on Scammel Street by Patrolman Warden of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Apr 13 at 12:21 pm.

Wayne Blake Watkins, age 30, 4652 Desdemona Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA, for felony charges of receiving stolen property and being a fugitive from justice and a misdemeanor charge of speeding. Watkins was arrested near milepost thirty-two on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Apr 13 at 1:09 pm.

Latoya Lynn Russell, age 28, 1044 Hadley Lane, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Russell was arrested at the office of Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Apr 13 at 4:31 pm.

Charles Lee Trippett, age 50, 301 Mitchells Lane, Washington, WV, for disorderly conduct by intoxication and for polluting land/water, both misdemeanors. Trippett was arrested at Devols Dam by Officer Bear of the Department of Natural Resources and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Apr 13 at 6:06 pm.

David Lyle Doebreiner, age 47, 404 Watertown Road, Waterford, for .17 breath OVI, a misdemeanor. Doebreiner was arrested on Rainbow Road by Lt. Rhodes of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Apr 13 at 11:46 pm.
