On 3 Apr 13 Deputy Sheriff McPeek arrested a seventeen year old Marietta resident on two charges of delinquency by domestic violence. The teenager’s mother reported her son was out of control and refused to go to school that morning. In a fit of rage, the teenager kicked his mother’s surgically repaired knee, broke a television and punched his father. The teenager also broke the globe on a ceiling fan and threw a can of gasoline at his father.

On 3 Apr 13 the Little Hocking Fire Department transported Mary H. Morgan, age 78, 2710 Braun Road, Belpre, to Camden Clark Hospital for treatment to injuries suffered when she fell down fourteen steps. Ms. Morgan suffered a brain bruise and fractures to her skull, face and wrist. No foul play is suspected (912).

On 3 Apr 13 Deputy Sheriff Hunter and the Salem Fire Department were dispatched to a brush fire on the property of Robert E. Brown, age 66, at 176 Whipple Eight Road, Lowell. Limited to a quarter of an acre, the fire spread from a brush pile that Mr. Brown was burning.

On 3 Apr 13 William L. Bailey, age 39, 1137 Warren Chapel Road, Fleming, reported sometime between 8 am and 5:30 pm an unknown suspect(s) entered his garage and stole two car batteries, two battery chargers, a leaf blower and a weed eater. This case remains under investigation (509).

On 3 Apr 13 Jessica Martin, age 19, 410 Maple Street, Marietta, reported she believes her father’s ex-wife stole a gold wedding band while she moved belongings out of his home in Lowell the previous day. This case remains under investigation (1010).

On 4 Apr 13 in the parking lot of the Outpost Bar, 20825 State Route 550, Marietta, the unknown driver of a red pickup truck backed into the driver side door of a parked Chevy sedan owned by Joe M. Caldwell, age 32, 9460 State Route 550, Vincent. The collision caused light damage to Mr. Caldwell’s vehicle (509).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Damien Alexander Hines, age 20, Marietta, for two felony counts of burglary. Hines was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Apr 13 at 10:00 am.

Joseph Mark Wilson, age 31, 633 Smithfield Street, Parkersburg, for driving under a suspended license and speeding, both misdemeanors. Wilson was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Probation Officer P. Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Apr 13 at 10:45 am.

Ali Rae Martin, age 23, 101 Stonecrest Drive, Marietta, for theft, receiving stolen property and trafficking in drugs, all felonies. Martin was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Apr 13 at 11:08 am.

Trent Dwight Mason, age 24, 712 Front Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Mason was arrested in Marietta by Probation Officer Gault and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Apr 13 at 11:45 am.

Dedra Deniece Allen, age 42, 1495 E. Poplar Extension, Davisville, WV, for illegal processing of drug documents, a felony. Allen was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Apr 13 at 7:55 pm.
